SEMIANNUAL REPORT 2ND QUARTER, 2017 3

With its cloud-based content management system for BIM objects, BIMobject is a game changer for the global construction industry.

BIMobject is an innovative technology company at the forefront of the digitalisation of build-ing products and materials. By making product information accessible and allowing it to be turned into know-how early in the BIM process, the company can industrialise the buildung industry with great, positive impact on design, product selection, construction, waste, en-ergy, costs, quality, and logistics.

BIMobject offers unique solutions for building and interior product manufacturers ranging from analytics, business matching, and communication to the development, hosting, maintenance, administration, and publishing of so-called BIM objects: digital replicas of the manufacturers’ products. Using apps, the various BIMobject web ser-vices for digital marketing and pre-sales are channelled and integrated into CAD/BIM software to create direct business relationships and communication across the globe.

The BIM objects hosted in the BIMobject® Cloud are integrated into the information model throughout the entire process, describing the building and its parts in close detail. This gives those products a significantly bigger chance of being selected and purchased.

In true BIMobject spirit, the last months have gone by quickly, and it’s already time for me to sum up the first half of 2017. After an eventful first quarter, the three months that followed continued to unfold in line with our goals. We have expanded significantly with new members in all the sales- and marketing departments in our subsidiaries, an expansion that will generate growth within 6-12 months. To meet the explosive increase in users and BIM object on the BIMobject® Cloud, we also doubled the size of our developing department. This step was also made to prepare us for future mod-ularisation so we’ll be able to manage different parts of the world with a scaleable solution. Finally, we have hired new members in our research departments for VR and other new technologies.

At the beginning of April, we teamed up with Riksbyggen to make their project development processes more digital. I’m particularly happy about this collaboration because we had been looking for a partner with a holistic view of the entire lifecycle of a building. The pilot project with Riksbyggen combines our solutions with the collective knowledge of the construction industry. This is a huge step forward for the develop-ment of digital building processes.

At the end of the month, we took part in the AIA Conference on Architecture in the USA. We launched two groundbreaking new products during the event: BIMobject® VR and BIMobject® AR. These Virtual Reality solutions have been developed for build-ing product manufacturers and BIM-projects, fetching information directly from our platform BIMobject® Cloud. The result is a number of completely new ways to com-municate and interact virtually with the whole supply chain. Its continuously updated, high-quality information turns our cloud into a so-called Single Source of Truth. Virtual Reality technology is ready for the mass market in a new era for digital reality.

The following month, we opened the doors to our new offices in Hong Kong. We’re finally able to meet the growing demand from Asian markets from a wholly owned subsidiary in the region! The Hong Kong government supported our expansion with amazing enthusiasm. Now, there’s a BIMobject in the local IT-hub Cyberport, re-sponding to interest from a market that’s just been waiting for us.

“Our solutions continue to pave new ways towards the goal of revolutionising the construction industry, BIM by BIM.”

At the end of May, our biggest shareholder, Solar A/S, increased its equity interest to equal 20.01 per cent of the voting shares and capital of BIMobject. We carried out a successful collaboration with Solar in June: Together, we integrated the international ETIM classification standard for technical products into the BIMobject® Cloud. Solar brought important knowledge that allowed us to implement the standard quickly on our platform. Standards should be easy to access and use. The fact that the man-ufacturers are now able to equip all their digital products with an ETIM classification benefits not just them, but suppliers and the industry overall as well. The cooperation surrounding ETIM really shows how valuable partnerships are in our industry.

The last six months have been a period of significant growth. We’ve been able to expand greatly in regions like Asia and North America. At the time of writing, the number of registered users on the BIMobject® Cloud has just passed 500,000 and the number of hosted brands exceeds 1,000. 97 out of the 100 biggest architect firms in the world and 85 out of the corresponding design- and engineer companies use our platform. These are incredible numbers that communicate a clear message: There’s no doubt that we are the world’s leading platform for digital objects. The distance to our competitors keeps growing, while our solutions continue to pave new ways towards the goal of digitalising – and revolutionising – the building industry, BIM by BIM. With more than 14 million downloads made all over the world, the global BIMobject family and I look forward to the second half of what has, so far, been a very exciting 2017.

BIMobject® sharpens the competitive edge of its customers through a new, ef-ficient way of marketing the customers' products with high-quality, easily ac-cessed BIM objects. BIMobject® employs a global strategy. As a neutral pro-vider, the company creates BIM objects for the different standards of popular BIM-programmes, able to handle a variety of languages and local preferences.

Corporate structure BIMobject AB is the parent company of a corporation which includes the wholly owned subsidiaries BIMobject UK in the United Kingdom, BIMobject Deutschland GmbH in Germany, BIMobject Hungary Kft, BIMobject Italy, BIMobject Spain S.L., BIMobject Inc in the USA, BIMobject Poland sp. z o.o, BIMobject France SAS, and BIMobject Hong Kong Ltd.

BIMobject® has a corporate-leading role as well as operative activities. The board of di-rectors strive to intensify activities in the subsidiaries. These activities consist of sales and project management in local markets, as well as the production of BIM objects for the benefit of the corporation.

VisionThe BIMobject vision is to become the world's leading company for BIM objects, with the aim of hosting every building and interior design product in digital form in the BIMobject® Cloud.

Aiming to become the global leaderBIMobject® was founded in June 2011 and the cloud-based portal BIMobject® Cloud launched in February 2012. By June 2017, the platform had more than 470,000 re-gistered users and over 39,000 product families from more than 990 manufacturers. Today, BIMobject is represented in approximately 20 countries through either subsidi-aries or business partners.

BIMobject has an offensive expansion plan with the primary goal of becoming the global leader for BIM objects, which the board of directors assess to correspond to a market worth millions. The strategy is to achieve an aggressive growth in turnover with a controlled total cost through growth of:

• Users – creating value for customers• Manufacturers• Product families• Private Clouds• Apps• Business partners

Accordingly, BIMobject® at the present time prioritises global expansion over short-term profitability. In the long run, focus will be shifted to long-term profitability.

SEMIANNUAL REPORT 2ND QUARTER, 2017 11

om bimobject inledning

Business modelBIMobject's earnings are generated both through manufacturers of building and interior design products, and through business partners. The sources of revenue include, but are not limited to:

1. Projects – Creating, maintaining, and publishing BIM objects from different sources on behalf of manufacturers and partners. Publishing fees are calculated based on the number of objects the manufacturer wishes to present on the platform.2. Subscription – An annual subscription fee paid by the manufacturer for the pub-lishing of their BIM objects as well as for the usage of the various tools created by BIMobject in order to enhance customer benefit through solutions such as:

• Private Clouds and BIMobject® Hercules, which are used by manufacturers and construction companies to control the product offering

• BIManalytics® Core and BIMobject Mail, which are used to evaluate and commu-nicate with BIMobject® Cloud users

• BIMobject® Mosquito and BIMobject® Properties, which facilitate the production and maintenance of BIM objects

Initially, revenue stemming from the creation, maintenance, and publishing of BIM ob-jects are estimated to constitute a large part of the Corporation's earnings. Long-term, however, subscription fees are predicted to become the main source of revenue for BIMobject.

EarningsThe Corporation's earnings before tax during the second quarter of 2017 amounted to -16,249 (-9,757) TSEK. The Corporation has, according to its strategic plan, continued to take market shares successfully, which entails significant costs.

Large growth in user numbers and large growth in turnover continues to be a priority. This continued expansion requires a great deal of resources, which is why the costs during the period are high. Risk and uncertainty factorsA number of risk factors may have a negative impact on BIMobject's operations and industry. It is therefore of great importance to take relevant risks into account along-side the possibilities for expansion for the Corporation. BIMobject's relationships with customers and business partners are relatively new and their future may therefore be difficult to assess. Market establishing may be delayed and in turn entail loss of reve-nue. The BIMobject services are relatively new to players on the market, which means that gaining customer acceptance and penetrating the market may require time. BIMobject® may need to acquire additional funds in the future. The Corporation may be unable to acquire such funds, achieve partnerships, or other means of cofinancing.

The loss of one or more key figures, employees, or consultants may result in negative consequences for the operations and earnings of BIMobject. An extensive venture from a competitor may come to entail risks in the form of diminished sales opportu-nities. Should the Corporation's customers in the construction and building industry experience a recession, this may negatively affect the future revenue and resources for investment of BIMobject as well as its ability to keep staff. Naturally, none of the risk factors described can be accurately assessed without a complete evaluation of the Corporation's operations in combination with a general business intelligence analysis.
