The BEUMER stretch hood ® S is an innovative packaging machine for the securing and protecting of stacked loads. The combination ofstate-of-the-art control technology, modular design and inventive film handling make the BEUMER stretch hood ® S an efficient packaging machine capable of offering solutions to a widerange of packaging requirements:

• high throughput resulting from an optimized over-lapping of movements

• short erection time due to modular design and plug-in wiring

• heavy duty drive units reduce mechanical faults and maintenance

• an ultrasonic sensor automatically determines the exact length of film required per unit load

• control of load contours increases operational reliability

• by means of a drive, the packaging material is smoothly released from the film reel

In order to be able to provide aperfect fit of the film at competitiveprices, the single-format machineBEUMER stretch hood ® S has been developed as an alternativeto our multi-format machine. By means of this machine it is gua-ranteed that the standard packagesizes used in the industry arepacked in a safe way, whereas achange-over to another packagesize can be effected manually, if necessary. A load securing realized by theBEUMER stretch hood ® S ensuresour customers that the goodsreach their place of destination in

a safe way - may the chemical industry, the food industry or otherbranches of industry be concer-ned.The technical advantages are: fully automatic and controlled ope-ning and widening of the gussetedfilm tube and automatic determi-nation of the film hood length.The crimping modules have filmlength and film end detection units.Package stability is achievedthrough the biaxial film stretch thatcombines both the vertical and horizontal film tension forces andthe understrech drawn up to theunderside of the pallet.
