Human Trafficking in Switzerland• Wikipedia says that Switzerland is a destination, and to

a lesser extent transit country for women trafficked from Bulgaria, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Cambodia, Nigeria for the purposes of sexual exploitation. The Swiss authorities noted an increase of persons trafficked from

eastern Europe especially Romania. • Swiss government officials and NGOs reported an

trafficking. • In an effort to increase enforcement it is necessary to call on governments to initiate a

process of revision of laws and regulations that are directly or indirectly related to enhancing anti-trafficking policies.
