LEADERSHIP .

Leaders are highly ambitious and have an uncompromising drive to ensure the highest levels of achievement for all children from their starting points.

• Develop the SLG as a highly effective leadership group • Ensure that BSP is operationally Ofsted-ready • Engage parents and the local community in support of the

school’s strategy. • Put in place organisational frameworks to ensure policy and

procedures run smoothly. • Ensure that support for learning is integral to all procedures

and the children are at the foremost of all we do. • Leadership of BPS is built on a platform of trust between all

members of the team and have clear realistic goals. This runs through everything in the school, creating a calm and purposeful environment in which staff and children can work together.

• Maintain or improve our Ofsted rating of Good at our Inspection in 2018;

• All governors have full understanding of the inspection process and sufficiently informed to respond to inspectors’ questions;

• School Leadership Group works effectively and purposefully to support and deliver BSP’s strategy.

• Develop a robust succession plan for key governor roles; • Support the succession plan with strong recruitment,

Implement the high quality educational infrastructure, i.e. budgets, staffing, space, equipment and physical resources, maintenance & health and safety, to achieve BSP’s educational strategy and plans.

• Review the school’s educational infrastructure needs termly; • Work energetically to raise additional funds to meet

infrastructure needs; • Implement major infrastructure projects including the new

kitchen, storage containers etc.

• The financial management of the school is secure and resources are available to support an outstanding education for all.

• Delivery of major projects such as new kitchen.

STAFFING

Ensure that the staffing structure meets the demands of a growing school.

• Refine the format of a 3-year rolling staffing plan and agree and implement staffing targets.

• The school has a staffing structure that reflects the needs of a growing school with the capacity to employ more specialised staff in the future.

With the physical infrastructure already in place, ensure that funds are available for the additional teacher post required in 2019 to implement fully a comprehensive single form structure.

• Well planned expenditure to ensure money is available to employ a new teacher in 2019, despite outside influences in the budget such as a 2% wage rise for support staff.

EDUCATIONALACHIEVEMENT

Senior Leaders have robust monitoring systems and procedures in place to ensure continual improvement in teaching, learning and assessment.

• In line with the observations of the school inspection in 2014, sustain improvement in reading in KS2 and consistently robust standards in marking and feedback across the school.

• Introduce a baseline for all Year Groups at the beginning of each year from September 2018.

• Further develop robust monitoring systems, including governor monitoring, to ensure the school is bridging the gaps.

• Provide bespoke CPD to raise the quality of teaching and learning in line with an ever changing political, economical and educational climate.

• Ensure that SEND provision enables all adults to meet confidently the needs of all the pupils. Identify trends that will impact on the school in the future.

• All staff are vigilant in monitoring pupils’ academic achievement over time, taking account of both attainment and progress including disadvantaged pupils, the most able pupils, and pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities.

• The Board of Governors are actively engaged in monitoring visits to help provide an evidential basis for their understanding of childrens’ performance..

• Maintain the Outstanding judgement made by OFSTED in 2014.

• Refine and improve intervention teaching in order to raise the percentage who achieve a Good Level of Development (GLD)

• Further develop adult engagement in child-initiated play in order to enhance learning opportunities

The outstanding judgement in early years educational provision recognised in BSP’s 2014 Ofsted inspection has been maintained.

• Maintain the Outstanding judgement made by OFSTED in 2014.

• Recognise the implications of the continuing growth of our catchment area and school and ensure we continue to meet the needs of individual pupils and families.

• Ensure that pupils feel they have an active voice within the school community, understand the need to stay fit and healthy and ways in which they can do this, and are aware of how to stay safe and where to find support if they need help.

• Ensure that British Values are embedded in the school curriculum and ethos.

Maintain the outstanding grade for Behaviour and Safety of children as recognised in BSP’s 2014 Ofsted inspection.
