Holiday Concert (All Grade Levels)

At two of our home basketball games we will be having a volunteer pepband perform in support of our basketball teams. Scholars who have signedup to perform may play - all spots have been filled at this time. Prior to eachgame, dinner will be provided for those playing. Pep band members will alsoget free admission to the games. The dates are listed below:

****The December 9th Pep Band has been cancelled due to an extenuating circumstance.

Pep Band Evening Schedule

The performers will be dismissed after the Boys Varsity game. Scholars needto have a ride at the school by 8:15pm and expect to leave between 8:15and 8:30pm.

December 14th ConcertsOur Holiday Concerts are arriving quickly and with them all the excitement of the Christmas and

New Year's holidays. On December 14, 2021 we will be hosting our annual Holiday concerts for the

first time since 2019. At 7:00pm we will kick the evening off with our 6th Grade Beginning Band

followed immediately by our 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Band as they present a selection of holiday

favorites including Leroy Anderson's "A Christmas Festival", Robert W. Smith's "Liturgical

Fanfare", and a new arrangement of Mykola Leontovich's "Carol of the Bells".

Butter Braid DeliveryOn November 22, 2021, those who sold Butter Braids for our Fundraiser will be picking up and

delivering their items after school. The Butter Braid will be delivered at the end of the school day

and MUST be picked up by 5:30pm in the band room. More details will come in next week's

newsletter.

I am so excited to see and hear all the progress we are having in each class. I would like to takejust a moment to encourage each scholar to continue to take their instruments home to practice- even if it's only 10 or 15 minutes a day. This time adds up quick and the result is a much higherlevel of achievement for everyone in the band. As with most things - the better we are at what wedo, the more enjoyable it is and the more opportunities we have.
