If you are installing on Windows you can use local and start the installation on the server, but if you
plan to install it on the UNIX environment then choose remote and supply the details accordingly
You can give any name to the environment, but make sure it is appropriate

Locale must be ISO-8859-1, make sure you have the same locale for the SQL as well

Choose the appropriate DB here, in this case it must be SQL.

As we are doing the installation on windows and sql is locally installed on the server, select “Local
database server setup”

Give the “sa”, “baanerp” & “baan” passwords here. “baanerp” is baan DB group in baan and schema
in the DB.

Please specify the paths & sizes for mdf and ldf files here. It would be better to make the ldf size as
10% of the mdf size.
You can skip the next step of changing the storage inf file.
