HERE’S AN EXAMPLE

• I devoured the slice of tiramisu cheesecake. I was happy.

vs.

• I closed my eyes as I inhaled the slice of tiramisu cheesecake. It was smooth and heavenly as it slid down my throat. I thought to myself, “If only the Cheesecake Factory delivered.”

HERE’S ANOTHER EXAMPLE

• My mom and I saw some students. I was not excited about the uniforms.

• Mom and I stepped out of our car and into the school parking lot. The students were walking around in identical white shirts and the same khaki pants. I thought, “Oh, great. Uniforms are the last thing I want to wear.”

• Find the foldable hand out on your table.

• Fold the paper in half (taco style).

• Cut three strips just shy off the fold/ crease.

• On the flaps on the foldable, dissect the sentence to figure out the missing Ba Da Bing! elements.

• Once you have thought about the missing details, write the enhanced sentence on the bottom part of the foldable.
