Display the [Home] for selecting product model.

Select the product shape with scrollbar on the upper-left image(Selection of the basic shape).

Complete parameters for the basic size.

Press [CAD] button

Position the part as per NX method.

B2-1. How to use Mold EX-Press in NX

By three-step selection, the 3D drawing of the part can be configured and placed directly into the CAD by seamless connection with NX. The model structure is set at non-assembly mode as default.

[Key point]Click [CAD] to generate the 3D drawing after confirming the shape and parameters.

Go to [Help] and open [MODEL OUTPUT CAD setting].

The default output mode is Multi-body (non-assembly), shown at right, for a product type TSSB.

Select "Assembly" in the NX setting. Then click "Confirm".

The model can be exported with assembled structure.

B2-2. Switching modeling mode to assembly

NX can apply two different modeling structures, assembly or multi-body (non-assembly). You can select your required modeling to meet your preferred structure.

By three-step selection, the 3D drawing of the part can not be configured following steps for recovering in SolidWorks.

Click[Open]in Tool Bar and select [.sat] from file type. Then, click [Option…]button.

In the [General] window, check①[B-Rep mapping] and check ②[Input parts as multibody]. Then, click [Decided]+.

You can complete only with 3 steps, selection of parts, model preview and 3D view .

Display Home and select any category and go to [Purchase].

In [Purchase], select part configuration (basic structure) referring to the photo upper left handtop .

[Product Configuration] page. Select a measurement type.

[Key Point]

Click [CAD] you can reconfirm the model configuration and size before exporting 3D model.

Press [CAD] button.

Operate assemblyparts by CATIA.

B2-6. How to use Mold EX-Press in Pro/E・Creo

The part models created by Mold EX-Press can be exportedin intermediary format that allows to import to CAD software youuse. The operational method below shows the procedure in thepresence of Pro/E.

After selecting parameter,go to [Model Output ].and click Generate.

Models are stored in your selected format.DWG,DXF,IGS,STP,SATand PARASOLID available.

Select command for opening the folder from Pro/E tool-bar .

Select your required model for importing the format.

Click right handMold EX-Press iconon desk top and open[Property], Go to [Working folder] and open [Mold EX-Press].

Click the right mouse button in Mold EX-Press folder. Example:D:\Program files\MISUMI_P_G  [Property]→[Security」]and go to [Edit].

B2-8. Not to operate the model introduction in CAD system

In case you are not to operate the model introduction in CAD system. I may be caused by authority setting. Please try to revise the problem in following operation. .

Go to [Group name or user name]and select [Users]. In [Authority], go to [Full control] and click [OK] in [Validate].

The system is starting to validate and automatically close the window after the validation. Them you can use the data..

After completing Parameter, click [model output] and change tab.

First, set up the file namerule, intermediary formatto output and path of a folder to save CAD files.

Click the [Generate]to export the drawing.

The drawings are saved asspecified in Model Output CAD Setting.

B2-9. Exporting 3D drawing in intermediary format

If you don’t have CAD other than AutoCAD, NX, Pro/E, CREO or Solidworks, the DWG, DXF, IGES, STEP, SAT and PARASOLID formats can be exported from Mold EX-Press so that they are compatible with the various 2D and 3D design software.

 You can revise the data input by Step ① from this window.
