Austin CyberKnife Milestones • Established 2005: The center launched with a primary focus on treatment of brain tumors and has since expanded the clinical applica2ons of CyberKnife® to treat other areas of the body including lungs, kidney and prostate.
• 2013: Expanded collabora2ons with neurosurgeons citywide to provide mul2specialty care for brain tumor pa2ents.
• March 2014: Treated 1,000th pa2ent since the center’s opening.

The Aus2n CyberKnife team has par2cipated in various community events and con2nuing educa2on programs. Recently, the center par2cipated in Seton Healthcare Family’s Annual Mock Surgery event to help further healthcare educa2on.
CyberKnife® Treatment • CyberKnife stereotac2c radiosurgery is a nonsurgical treatment op2on for cancerous and noncancerous lesions.
• The noninvasive method treats tumors with high-‐dose radia2on precisely aimed from different angles. CyberKnife destroys cancerous and begin tumors with highly accurate radia2on while minimizing damage to healthy 2ssue.
• Most pa2ents go home right aXer CyberKnife treatment and immediately resume normal ac2vi2es.

Our Center Aus2n CyberKnife is a department of University Medical Center Brackenridge, a member of the Seton Healthcare Family. It was the first in the central Texas region to offer CyberKnife treatment, giving our physicians the most experience trea2ng pa2ents with this technology in the area.
