The front entryway along with the weightroom flooring will be replaced. •The East Gym will be receiving curtains on or before August 31. • The Student Aquatic Center (SAQ) has added UV lighting as well as a new chlor- nation system. Changes were also made to grates in the spa and leisure pool. •Upper Parker Gymnasium will be receiving a new floor at some point this fall to better meet the needs of our sport club teams and academic classes. Director Vaughn Accepts New Position Rec Services Graduate Assistants Lifeguard Paul Kettenbach has been named Employee of the Month for July 2012 within Recreation Services. Kettenbach, a Senior from Jerseyville, IL, is a sport management major and hope to one day work in marketing and promo- tions for a university. Well done Paul! The new graduate assistants are: • Michaela Steele – Aquatics and Outdoor Pursuits • Chris Loseman – Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs • Renee Wood – Facilities and Special Events They join three returning graduate assistants within the department: • Ryan Bressner – Marketing and Promotions • Madison Lowrance – Business Operations • Christine Paige – Fitness and Wellness Current Director of Recreation Services, Troy Vaughn, has announced that will be leaving the university effective August 31. Vaughn has accepted a similar position at Southern Illinois University. “I will miss the many friends and students that I have come to know in my seven years at Southeast.” Vaughn stated. “It’s hard to leave but we have accomplished so much as a staff”. Mike Buck, current Associate Director, will serve as the new Interim Director effective September 1.

Recreation Services Fall Hours

Kettenbach Named EOTM for July 2012

Several new graduate assistants have started within the department this fall.
