What’s New This Week

BACK2SCHOOL FEST – Wednesday, August 16th 4:00 – 8:00 pm (Pre-8) Please join us as we help our community by giving school supplies and much more. Besides the free school supplies, there will be free food, inflatable games, Ford test drives, and much more for everyone.

THEME FOR 2017-2018 SCHOOL YEAR This year’s theme will be “Under Construction: God At Work” since we will be in the midst of our build here at Immanuel. 2017-2018 START OF SCHOOL YEAR INFORMATION (K-8) School begins on Tuesday, August 22nd for grades K-8. It will be a ½ Day (8:15-11:16 am)

Bus Service - No bus service until after Labor Day.

Back to School Night – Come meet your child(ren)’s teacher(s) and get detailed information about daily and weekly information, as well as information about some of the big events at each grade level.

- K – 8th Grade Back to School Night – Wednesday, August 30th 7:00 pm School Picture Day – Tuesday, September 12th - K-8 School pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 12th. All picture

packets MUST be at school at the time of picture taking. Order forms and online ordering instructions will be provided when school starts.

UNIFORM RESALE INFORMATION Items placed for sale must be turned in to the school office on Monday August 7th and Tuesday August 8th. Please note the following:

• Please inspect your items carefully for stains, stretching, and tears. We reserve the right to donate items not in resale condition.

• Please use a small letter envelope with your family name/number, the item name with size and gender, and price. Please DATE the envelope with month and year. Affix with safety pin please.

• We suggest pricing competitively, and reserve the right for markdowns once an item remains in the sale. If you need assistance with pricing, please see Dina Hewines or the sale team.

• We track items for two years. If it has not sold after two years, it will be donated to the school.

SUMMER READING PROGRAM Keep track of the books you read this summer and get a prize from our library next September. See Mrs. Breininger for a tracking sheet.

Accelerated Reader Days at Immanuel this summer We will have the library open on the following days this summer for students to take Accelerated Reader tests. Students going into grades 4 – 8 can come and test on books read during the summer months. Points earned during the summer will count toward the 1st quarter of the 2016-2017 school year. Thursday, August 10th 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm (Library)

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT (Parents only) (K-8)

ALL GRADES K – 8 - WEDNESDAY, August 30th at 7:00 pm (meet in the Worship Center) 7:00 pm - Parents meet in the Worship Center for general information and school updates 7:30 pm - Parents will proceed to their child’s classrooms

If you have a children in more than one grade, attend one child’s classroom for the first session, then proceed to the other child’s classroom for the second session.

If you have a 7th or 8th grader, please attend their session first, then proceed to the 5th or 6th grade room

8:15 pm - A second session will be held identical to the first 9:00 pm - The evening comes to an end

LHN Dance Camp – September 5, 7, 8 – 6:00-7:30pm (K-5) Lutheran North’s Dance Camp is open to girls who will be entering grades kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall of 2017. Camp is held in the main gym. Instructors will be the LHN Dance Coach and LHN Dance Team. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt, learn basic dance technique, and a routine to perform with the LHN Varsity Dance Team for the Friday night football game on September 8th. Cost is $75. LHN Cheer Camp – September 6, 7, 8 – 6:00-8:00pm (1-8) Lutheran North’s Cheer Camp is open to girls who will be entering grades 1-8 in the fall of 2017. Camp is held in the main gym. Instructors will be the LHN Cheer Coach and LHN Sideline Cheer Team. All campers will receive a camp t-shirt, hair bow, and the opportunity to cheer with the Varsity Cheer Team at the September 8th home football game. Cost is $75. Click here for
