What to ExpectEach week, children ages 5-7 jump into action, participating in exciting sports programs, exploring nature, becoming involved in performing and creative arts, playing a part in group activities, and attending special events. Activity Blocks are sprinkled throughout each week, giving campers fun and variety in their camp day.

Campers will expand their horizons, embark on new adventures, and most importantly, have fun. Our exceptional program and dedicated staff create an environment that forges lifelong friendships among our campers. We create a summer experience that is unforgettable!

Camp features a unique selection of indoor and outdoor activities that take advantage of resources in the local area.

Specialty camps offer additional activities , operating during regular camp hours, which provide even more choices for unique and exciting adventures. Specialty Camp hours are 9:00-12:00 unless otherwise posted. Specialty Campers have the opportunity to expand into the afternoon and make it a full day. Afternoon camp (12:00-3:00) combines with our Camp Crew group and afternoon activities. Please note afternoon camp is not part of the specialty camp curriculum. ** Campers must be registered in our specialty camp to qualify for our Afternoon Camp.

Our daily pep rally is a time for campers to gather for songs, chants

and challenges that promote collaboration.

It’s showtime! Campers will create, design, act, perform and everything

in-between.

We’ll keep campers moving and thinking as they play sports and games and participate in timed challenges on

their own and with friends.

Let the games begin! Campers will practice sportsmanship and critical

thinking while playing fun video and board games with their peers.

Art is more than just painting and drawing. We’ll provide campers with

different mediums and projects to keep them inspired.

Campers will have a blast as they initiate, plan and manage academic and

enrichment projects all summer long.

Lights! Camera! Action! Campers’ creativity will shine as they explore

photography and videography projects.

By participating in exciting S.T.E.A.M. activities, campers will ask questions,

design, build, create and maybe spark an idea that will someday change the world.

Children will join forces to solve mysteries, complete puzzles and build

with Legos, K’nex, blocks and other recycled materials.

Our campers will pay it forward as they help kids in need by planning a

community service event from brainstorm to implementation.

Prepare to be amazed. Campers will explore the exciting world of

entertainment, including cartooning, magic, puppeteering, and more.

Campers will experiment with musical instruments, develop an appreciation

for past and present music, and express themselves creatively.

Geology RocksUncover the mysteries of our planet as we explore the earth from its core to the outer reaches of space. Multiple activities and science projects will be offered in this fun, exploratory class as we discuss key events in earth’s history while taking a close look at rocks, minerals, and fossils from around the world! AGES 8-10

Wilderness Camp AM or PMCome join Mrs. Loewen as we explore some of the parks and forests in our area! We will be taking short field trips to go on hikes, discussing what it means to spend time in and take care of our environment, and spending some quality time in the sunshine! Please send students with their own personal backpack with snacks, a water bottle, sunscreen, and an extra change of clothes. Field trip permission slip will be required. AGES 5-11

Bake Time 1This week long, hands-on baking camp is designed for kids! You’ll have fun and learn about the different methods used to turn out a delicious variety of home-baked goods and why each method gives different results. Baked items will include pies, cakes and bars. Allergens will be present. We ask that children with food allergies not attend this camp. AGES 5-11

Flag FootballThrough our 'skill of the day' campers will learn skills on both sides of the ball including the core components of passing, catching, and de-flagging or defensive positioning - all presented in a fun & positive environment. AGES 6-11

CheerleadingSkyhawks cheerleading teaches young athletes all the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team. Skyhawks' cheer camp will ensure that each camper will learn cheers, proper hand and body movements as well as jumping techniques. AGES 5-10

Chemical MagicBe a chemical detective and learn to make batteries from fruits or potatoes. Make a fantastic crystal tree, write a secret message in invisible ink. Look at our prepared slides using our microscopes. Make dirty pennies clean again and do it the fantastic way. AGES 6-11

BasketballUsing our progressional curriculum and focusing on the whole player, we teach your child the skills they need both on and off the court to be a better athlete. Our sport specific staff will focus on respect, teamwork and responsibility as they will start each day with a 'skill of the day’. AGES 6-11

DramaCampers will learn theater basics , play theater games, learn to juggle, use improvisational skills and so much more. Step our of your comfort zone and join drama! AGES 5-11

Animal ArchitectsLet your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO parts as we design and build leaping dolphins, buzzing beehives and towering giraffes. Play, Create and learn in a world inspired by the animal kingdom. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas. AGES 5-8

Can you dig it?Do you dig dinosaurs? Archeology and Paleontology seem like big words to kids, but fantastic workshops bring them alive. Each child will excavate a fossil and uncover the different bones of a dinosaur. We will also complete a 3-dimensional dinosaur to take home. AGES 6-11

Baking Time 3This week long, hands-on baking camp is designed for kids! You’ll have fun and learn about the different methods used to turn out a delicious variety of home-baked goods and why each method gives different results. Baked items will include scones, cupcakes, crisps and cobblers. Allergens will be present. We ask that children with food allergies not attend this camp. AGES 5-11

Knitting and CraftingJoin in a week long knitting and crafting camp. Students will learn the beginning of knitting and complete several craft projects including friendship bracelets, paper crafts and string art. AGES 6-11

1-2 ReadinessIs your child an incoming first or second grader? Do you have specific skills you would like them to review or work on before the school year starts again? Come spend time with Mrs. Loewen working on those first and second grade skills your child will need to know to be prepared for the upcoming school year!

Kindergarten ReadinessPRE-REQUISITE: Your child must be enrolled in Evergreen Academy’s 2019-20 academic school year to attend.Kindergarten is just around the corner and what better way to get ahead then to start with Kindergarten Readiness! Your child will be exposed to a typical Kindergarten morning routine . All the Kindergarten teachers will be present throughout the week to meet your children and get to know them on an individualized basis.

Lego BuildingCombine your creativity and ingenuity with brick

building fun! Campers will learn to make the strongest structures and compete in LEGO car races. They will be asked to build the most buoyant creation or feasible maze. Daily challenges will bring our imagination and individuality. From beginning to end, campers will be building, thinking, sharing and building some more. Girls and Boys alike will love to show their master building skills in LEGO camp. Ages 5-11
