MOORE USA TODAY See CHRI STIE , Page A8 JACKSON — A 17-year-old township girl was killed Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on West Veteran s Highway, authorities said. A 1997 Jeep Cherokee driven by Kaitlyn Henninger was struck by a 1993 Ford F800 flatbed truck when Hen- ninger’s vehicle entered the highway from Hawkin Road, according to a statement from township police Lt. Steve Laskiewicz. The victim was taken to Helene Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, where she was pronounced dead. The Jackson native was a freshman studying liberal arts at Ocean County College, peers and a professor said. She had taken time off for the spring semester. Friends described her as a compassionate friend and a dance fanatic who o ften practiced ballet. “Kaitlyn, I’ve only known you since last semester, but we became such friends in no time,” wrote fresh- man Rohan Shah on Facebook. “Who’s going to teach me how to dance now?
