    TOMS RIVER A Toms River man on Thursday ac-knowledged his guilt in the fatal shooting of a 6-year-oldneighbor by his 4-year-old son.

    Anthony R. Senatore, 35, of McCormick Drive, TomsRiver, admitted that a loaded .22-caliber rifle he left un-secured in his home was used by his son to fatally shootBrandon Holt on April 8, 2013.

    He pleaded guilty to two counts of child endanger-ment, admitting he endangered Brandon, as well as hisown children to whom his unsecured firearms were ac-cessible.

    At the time of the shooting, Senatores children wereages 12, 8 and 4. In his home were five unsecured fire-arms, the loaded rifle and four shotguns, with ammuni-tion nearby, authorities said.

    The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office will ask Su-perior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels to sentence Sena-tore to three years in state prison, Prosecutor JimMcClain said. Daniels scheduled the sentencing forFeb. 5. Senatore remains free on $100,000 bail untilthen.

    Brandons parents, Christine and Ron Holt, did notattend the hearing, but Brandons paternal grandmoth-er did, accompanied by the familys attorney, Kevin L.Parsons of the Woodbridge law firm Gill and Chamas.
