3. ARRIVAL PROCEDURE

3.1. For arrival, vehicles are allowed to enter campus via 3rd St. gate and exit via D. Hemady gate from 6:30 – 7:10 AM, Monday to Friday. For the safety of all,

3.1.1. Vehicles will enter and exit in single file for loading and unloading inside premises. 3.1.2. Students unloading in front of Jubilee Evangelical Church will walk straight to

school hallway parallel to Gilmore Ave. 3.1.3. Students walking in from D. Hemady Ave. will enter through the pedestrian gates

fronting JCA. 3.1.4. Students walking in from points after JCA driveway will enter through the driveway

side nearest Canteen and Bookstore.

3.2. During arrival time, the area fronting the entire School from 3rd St. to 4th St. is the UNLOADING ZONE of students.

3.3. Vehicles cannot go beyond the pink line of the UNLOADING ZONE for the safety of pedestrians.

3.4. Vehicles coming from E. Rodriguez, Sr. Ave can take Gilmore Ave. and 3rd St. to drop off at 3rd St. or D. Hemady gates.

3.5. After being dropped off, students shall proceed to the classroom on their own.

4. FETCHING PROCEDURE

4.1. During dismissal, only one (1) fetcher per student with FETCHER’S ID is allowed into

the Waiting Area 15 minutes before dismissal time of Grades 1-6. Beyond the designated time, the fetcher will fetch the students at the D. Hemady Gate.

4.2. Do not bring along young children during dismissal fetching time to lessen crowding and

confusion in the Waiting Area. 4.3. A fetcher is required to have an individual Fetcher’s Card for each student

4.4. Only one Fetcher’s card will be issued for each student. A fetcher with no Fetcher’s Card shall present the Parents’ authorization letter and ID to the guard. He will then go to the

Property Office for issuance of outpass before he is allowed to take the child from JCA premises. The first issuance of the outpass is free. Subsequent issuance is one hundred two pesos (Php102.00) per outpass. 4.5. Any tampering of the Fetcher’s Card will render it void. It must be replaced with a

new one. 4.6. For Change in Fetcher / Damaged Card / Lost Card, please proceed to the Property Office immediately. 4.6.1. For Change in Fetcher, please inform the Property Office immediately. 4.6.2. For Damaged Card, please surrender the card. 4.6.3. For Lost Card, please submit letter citing circumstances and affidavit of loss. 4.6.4. Submit an Application for Fetcher’s Card Replacement. 4.6.5. A Temporary Fetcher’s Card will be issued with one week validity. 4.6.6. Secure the regular Fetcher’s Card at the end of one week. 4.6.7. Replacement cost of Fetcher’s Card is two hundred seven pesos (php207.00)

5. ADVICE ON DISMISSAL

5.1.Fetch your children within 30 minutes after dismissal. The School will not be held responsible for children who stay beyond 6:00 PM. The School does not provide the facility nor the personnel to monitor children who stay beyond the given cut-off time. Consistent failure to fetch your children within the indicated time period may mean non-admission in succeeding school year. 5.2. To deter students from loitering in nearby public places without the knowledge of their parents, please instruct your children to stay inside the school premises until the fetcher arrives. Once your children leave the school grounds at dismissal time, they will not be allowed to re-enter the School. 5.3. Set up an effective monitoring system between your children’s tutor and / or fetchers to check on the whereabouts of your children. 5.4. Advise your children not to buy food / drinks from street vendors since they may be of poor

quality.

6. NOTHING AFTER 8:00 AM 6.1.All students are to take their lunch inside the School premises. Grades 1 and 2 students are supervised by Teachers in the classrooms. Students are to bring their lunch bags with them when they come to School. Lunch bags will not be accepted after 8:00 AM. 6.2.To develop a stronger sense of responsibility and self-reliance in our students, they are to

check their bags and bring with them the requirements needed for the day. The School will not accept / forward any “forgotten” item after 8:00 AM. The exception is medicine. Proceed to the clinic, present prescriptions, and coordinate with the doctor / nurse on a student’s medicine for the day.

7. VALUABLES

The School strongly discourages the wearing and bringing in of valuables into the school campus (e.g., jewelry, checks, large amount of cash, equipment). The School will not be responsible for any lost / damaged item.

8. SERVICES

8.1.Bookstore

8.1.1.No Bookstore Service from August 01 – 11, 2017 in D. Hemady Campus; Bookstore open in E. Rodriguez Campus 8.1.2.Service effective August 14, 2017 and onwards

8.2.Canteen 8.2.1.Canteen services are available. Arrangements for “eat now, pay later” can be made with the concessionaire should the student forget to bring his lunch or money. 8.2.2.The Canteen services offered to parents / guardians / fetchers / visitors are limited for

TAKE-OUT only. The Canteen is primarily for the use of students and personnel. It cannot be used as waiting or tutoring area.

8.3. Elementary Educational Resource Center is open for the use of Elementary parents, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM, at the D. Hemady Campus from August 14, 2017 to April 30, 2018. You may call local 402 for Elementary Educational Resource Center

8.4. Psychological / Educational services may be required for a student with concerns. 8.4.1. Should the student’s concern needs it, the Guidance Office will give referrals for psychological / educational services. For referred cases, a certificate on the student’s readiness to return to school should be submitted before a child is allowed to attend class / enroll. 8.4.2. A student who manifests irregular, uncontrollable, violent behavior (e.g., hurting himself / herself or others) will be sent home immediately. 8.5.Please check carefully the service of privately operated vehicles to ascertain the performance of drivers and conductors for the safety of your children. The School does not have any

relationship, business or otherwise, with the vehicle operators.

9. MOBILE PHONE SERVICE

9.1. The School makes use of mobile phone texting for school announcements such as: unexpected class suspension, urgent announcements. 9.2. You will be billed by Globe / Smart at Php2.50 and by Sun at Php2.00 per message received from the School. The School is not responsible for any problem encountered, technical or otherwise, in the course of providing the said text service for causes beyond the control of the School. 9.3. You may register by sending group name “JCAElem” to 2213. 9.4. Upon successful registration, you will receive “business card and acknowledgement text”.

Example: “You’re now a member of the Elem Power Group”. Save the business card received.

9.5. Should you no longer wish to be on the list, you may text “QUIT Group name” to 2213 for Globe, Smart and SUN subscribers.

9.6. Should your child enter a new department, please unsubscribe from the previous department and register in the new department.

. 10. ONLINE SERVICE

10.1.Teachers have the option to post assignments and activities during school time on school days through the JCA official email address:

10.1.1.For Grades 1 to 3 10.1.1.1.You may request for assignments and notes to be emailed by Teachers in

case of absences. 10.1.1.2.Teachers may answer parent queries on student concerns through email.

10.1.2.For Grades 4 to 6

10.1.2.1. Students may request for assignments and notes to be emailed by Teachers in case of absences.

10.1.2.2. Teachers may answer student queries on school concerns through email. 10.2.Personnel are prohibited to engage in social networking with students. Students are

discouraged from doing so as well. 10.3.For efficient coordination and follow up on out-of-school activities, Teachers are authorized to secure the mobile numbers of students and contact students on official school business (e.g., contests, varsity games). 10.4.Monitor closely your children’s use of computers and mobile phones. Students are discouraged from using them with personnel for unauthorized purposes. Report directly to the department concerned or through the Jubilee Christian Academy Parents Auxiliary (JCAPA) anything you find uncomfortable in email or text messages. 10.5.Visit the JCA website, www.jca.edu.ph, regularly for updates on activities, circulars and other school news. 10.6 Register your email address with the Academic Department for you to receive department circulars. For parents who do not receive E-Circulars, please check Spam Mail. Your firewall or internet may be blocking the site. Should the problem persist, please call the JCA ICT Office at local 302 or email [email protected]. 10.7.JCA Facebook is available for you to “like” us. Updates will be posted also for your convenience.

11. VISITORS 11.1.The ENTRANCE for visitors is D. Hemady Gate. 11.2.At the entrance, please present to the guard on duty any of the following photo- bearing identification cards. NO PICTURE ID, NO ENTRY.

11.2.1. JCA Fetcher’s Card 11.2.2. Company / School ID 11.2.3. Driver’s License 11.2.4. PRC License 11.2.5. SSS / GSIS ID

11.3.A Visitor’s ID is given in exchange for the visiting party’s ID. When in the campus, wear the Fetcher’s Card / Visitor’s ID at all times. 11.4.The above guidelines are implemented also during school activity / celebration days. On such occasions, the ID of one family member is adequate for entrance of the entire family party.

12. VEHICLE SERVICE

12.1.Vehicle Registration 12.1.1.The purpose of vehicle registration is to monitor student-related vehicles for better traffic and parking management, leading to improved neighborhood relations, and more importantly, the safety of the students. The guidelines are drafted in consultation with JCAPA and upon the request of the Barangay.

12.1.2. Parents / Guardians / School Service Operators are to register with the School the vehicles used to bring the children to and from Jubilee Christian Academy by filling in the Vehicle Registration Form attached in the Circular and submit to the Class Adviser by first day of class. Click http://www.jca.edu.ph/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/ FORM-VEHICLE-REGISTRATION.pdf for Vehicle Registration form. 12.1.3.Drivers of vehicles are to comply with traffic / parking guidelines issued by the School.

They are to avoid the following and other analogous violations regarding parking:

12.1.3.1.On driveways 12.1.3.2.On corners, obstructing access or creating hazard 12.1.3.3.Double / triple parking 12.1.3.4.On No Parking / Tow-Away Zone 12.1.3.5.Against flow of traffic 12.1.3.6.With idling engine 12.1.3.7.Loud noise (e.g., radio / voice volume, honking car horn) 12.1.4.School Personnel will conduct spot checks during arrival / dismissal time. He / she will photograph vehicles which violate given traffic / parking guidelines and prepare a Notice of Violation for students to bring home to parents / guardians. 12.1.5.Parents / Guardians / School Service Operators of the vehicle will be invited to meet

with the Administrator after the second notice. 12.1.6.Students using vehicles with persistent violations may be issued an Advice to Transfer

at the end of the school year on the basis of Parents / Guardians / Operators’ refusal to comply with the guidelines issued for said purpose.

12.2.The School reserves the right to refuse entry into the Campus vehicles driven by parents / Guardians / drivers who will not follow instructions, who drive recklessly and who are rude in language and behavior to those directing traffic and parking.

13. BARANGAY CONCERNS

13.1.Advise drivers / fetchers not to honk car horns and to lower the volume of voices / radios on

parked cars so as not to disturb residents. 13.2.Drivers / fetchers should refrain from sleeping and engaging in questionable or immoral acts

inside the vehicles. 13.3.Drivers / fetchers should not litter the streets / sidewalk / driveways / open lots with trash. 13.4.Any person found to be littering, urinating, defecating or spitting in public places will be fined

five hundred pesos (Php500.00) or will render community service of one (1) day. In case of failure to pay or to render community service, the violator will be penalized after conviction by a fine of one thousand pesos (Php1,000.00) or imprisonment of three (3) to seven (7) days of arresto menor or both at the discretion of the court.

13.5.Vehicles should not be parked in such a way as to obstruct driveway, create hazard or to cause vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

13.6.Owner / driver of vehicles shall be held liable for any damage he may cause to street utilities, traffic signs, any property or person.

13.7.Drivers should turn off vehicle engines when waiting to reduce gas emission. 13.8.The Barangay and its personnel shall not be responsible for any damage or loss of vehicle

and / or its accessories and articles left therein. 13.9.The School reserves the right to call the attention of parents / guardians / drivers who do not

cooperate with the School for a better relationship with the Barangay. 14. SECURITY

CCTV record school surrounding and provide footage that can be used as documentary evidence on student, personnel and visitor action. 15. INTERCAMPUS MAP
