MEANING
Stanza 1 Persona recall her past with a
loved one She misses the melody he plays
She realises there is no time for love
MEANING
Stanza 2 Persona amazed that the flutist is still
staying in the village
However, they do not care with the poor economic condition
She reflects on the sweet moments in the village
Life in city is so fast-moving
MEANING
Stanza 3 The persona questions the flutist with
the same question
She keeps thinking of him
Violence rage as her friend has been callously slaughtered
