Thank you for sharing the survey with me. Let me summarize some points:

I don’t fully agree with the analysis in this report. For me D is not the only problem, but B

and C are also problems. In many cases Distributors and customers don’t want to be

rude, which is why many of them have selected B or C. It’s just like a soft complain that

something needs to be improved. Our target shouldn’t be to avoid D, but our target

should be to get A in everything. Based on my analysis I see that we need to improve

in many areas:

商和客戶不想講得太直接, 這就是為什麼很多人會選 B 或 C…這樣的結果看起來就只像是個要求

1. Improve Delivery. Must be related to lead-time, forecasting, shipment etc.

2. Improve Response for both FAE and Sales, especially technical support

3. Improve company image (2 customers said not-applicable which is also not a

good thing) Better brand name will help the distributors to sell more easily. This

is a long-term goal.

4. Improve Price. However, price is a complicated issue.

a. We need higher price to survive, even though we know we are currently

not competitive in the market.

b. We cannot beat competitor pricing without definitely losing money.

c. There needs to a serious and in-depth analysis and comparison of our

overall cost compared to other competitors, in order to find out source

of our increased cost.

d. If FW customization is the biggest reason for higher cost, then we have to

evaluate whether it’s worth it. For example from our 100% volume how

many use FW customization? The contribution of FW customization to our

total volume should be at least 50%, since this affects the pricing of 100%

of our volume.

Translation for technical questions (CHN to ENG)

1. Q:請問貴公司如何判斷 K 值?

A:當每爐石墨紙在出爐後，我們從製具的上中下抽驗石墨紙，共抽 1%來檢驗

並取平均值來判定石墨紙的 k值。

Q: How does your company determine K value?

A: We randomly pick 1 % of graphite sheets from stacks (from top, middle & bottom)

of the jigs for inspection when the sheets are taken out from each oven. We will take

the average value to determine the K value.

2. Q:為什麼只抽 1%?

A:因測試 K 值為破壞性測試，我們須從一張 320X320mm 大的石墨紙，並從正中間裁切出

Q: Why testing only 1%?

A: It is because the K value test is a destructive test; we have to cut a strap roughly

Appendix A: Using the Mouse Right-click Menu

This appendix introduces the mouse right-click menu for setting the features of the Sequoia Dual.

Right-click Menu

Layout

Set up the layout of the video windows. It is a quick layout setup by arranging windows from 2×2, 3×3, or 4×4 as possible grid positions on the monitor.

Right-click Menu

Resolution

Set display resolution as desired.

Port name

Change the default name of the DVI-L / DVI-R / HDMI-L / HDMI-R input ports.

Options

Video alarm: enable video signal alarm and video loss detection by displaying the messages on monitor.

Background image: hide or display the background picture on monitor.

Surfer: allow the control of selected remote computer by moving the cursor from the original window border to the nearest window border when in remote mode (e.g., the cursor moving to the right side will get the control of the computer on right side). This feature allows the Sequoia’s (host) keyboard and mouse to transfer control to the next selected remote computer.

Right-click Menu

Copy via USB: select which of the 2 connected remote computers to run the GO! Bridge utility to copy-and-paste the folders and files contained therein. Fading level: set the speed of an overlaying window that fades into the background when another window becomes the active window.

Main channel

Select the input signal source for Source 1 window. Select from DVI-I IN 1/2 or HDMI IN 1/2 ports. The icon of source selected will be framed in red.

Sub channel

Select the input signal source for Source 2 window. Select from DVI-I IN 1/2 or HDMI IN 1/2 ports. The icon of source selected will be framed in red.

Right-click Menu

Save preset

All presets created are stored to the Sequoia Dual flash memory, not to the computer. After creating a preset, “save to flash” in order to write all the presets into the internal flash memory of the Sequoia Dual. To save a preset, perform the following steps: Step 1. Configure the window layout to how it will be displayed. Step 2. Click Save to preset. A pop-up window with a default filename will appear on the monitor. Step 3. Edit the filename if so desired (the file extension sav will be automatically added to the filename), and click OK to save. Repeat these steps for each additional preset. Or, just click Save to latest to allow Sequoia Dual on the next system start-up to immediately recall the window layout that was last Save to latest.

Load preset

After creating presets, load the file to be the master layout which gets loaded when the Sequoia Dual is powered on by clicking Load from saved preset. Or, click Load latest to load the window layout that was saved using the previous Save to latest command. Or, click Load factory default layout.

Delete preset by name

Delete a saved preset file appearing on the list in the drop-down menu.

Right-click Menu

Audio port

Select the audio signal source. Select from DVI-I IN 1/2 or HDMI IN 1/2 or Microphone/Headphone/USB IN 1/2/3/4 (from the remote computer’s USB port through the USB A/B cable; and audio connectors through the male to dual female Y splitter audio cable) ports. The icon of source selected will be framed in red. Note: Transmission of audio signal is included when passing through the DVI port using the DVI to HDMI adapter but audio signal is not included when using the DVI to VGA, DVI to YPbPr adapters.

Volume control

Adjust the volume level of audio output by using the slider on a pop-up window that appears on the monitor.

Send to bottom Send selected window to the bottom by right-clicking this command when a window overlays the other on the monitor.

Border color

Change the window border color by doing any of the following: ! On the “Basic colors” portion, click to select the desired color. ! Adjust the Hue, Saturation, and brightness Value. ! Adjust the Red, Green, and Blue values.

Set label
