Quality first!As in all departments, quality takes first pri-ority with Arburg’s spare parts service activi-ties: ARBURG is DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. In order to guarantee the high quality standard for ARBURG products, which is valued by customers world-wide, production is carried out solely at the parent factory in Lossburg, Germany. In addition to high quality, the direct incorporation of new developments into spare parts is another key advantage of the centralised production. Around 60 percent of the components are manufactured using modern production sys-tems and processes. An additional bonus is the high availability of spare parts, and not only for the current range of ALLROUNDERs. Even for ARBURG machines that are over 20 years old, customers can expect to find the parts they need.

ARBURG spare parts: always a guaranteed fit!The use of original ARBURG spare parts of-fers the customer key advantages: in addi-tion to the manufacturer’s guarantee, which applies to parts quality as well as the ability to buy spare parts for older machines, Ar-burg also guarantees that the spare part is ideally suited to the relevant machine and also to each application. A good example of this are the replacement parts for plasticis-ing units. These components, which include screws, screw tips, non-return valves, cylin-ders and heating bands, are specially adapt-ed to their respective applications in the original ARBURG spare parts range. Interactive spare parts orderingSpare parts can be ordered directly from subsidiaries or representative offices, as well as interactively via the Internet. The advan-tages of electronic ordering are ease of use, high reliability and fast service. The online registration form can be found on the AR-BURG website www.arburg.com under „Global Services – Support – Spare Parts“. Or, simply use the QR code. Rapid delivery of spare parts world-wideIn order to ensure fast delivery of spare parts around the world, all ARBURG subsidi-aries have their own well-stocked spare parts store. Additionally, headquarters and the subsidiaries are interconnected via an IT network. Should a particular spare part not be available in the store at one location, its availability can be checked in Lossburg as well as at other subsidiaries and the part can then be shipped to the customer by way of the fastest possible route. If, for in-stance, a spare part that is urgently required in the USA is available in stock in Brazil, AR-BURG customer service can request it there and have it dispatched directly to the cus-tomer in North America. This ensures opti-mum supply, thus minimising machine downtimes.

Active Spare Parts Management (ASM)With its Active Spare Parts Management (ASM) service, ARBURG takes yet another firm step towards individualised customer support. ASM comprises services such as on-site visits, comprehensive consultation for selecting suitable components as well as the assembly of various low-cost packages for maintenance and wearing parts that are tailored to the machine fleet. Preventive maintenanceWear is a natural, unavoidable process in the case of injection moulding machines. Regular maintenance enables wear to be controlled, necessary repairs to be detected in a timely manner and planned accord-ingly. Possible faults, downtime and conse-quential damage can thus be prevented. To ensure that nothing is left to chance during routine production, the SELOGICA ‘direct’ machine control system features a user-friendly maintenance programme - includ-ing continuous monitoring of due dates and automatic reminders for forthcoming maintenance work.

Oil managementIn 70 to 90 per cent of cases, the cause of faults in injection moulding machines is at-tributable to contamination in the hydraulic system. The goal of oil management is to prevent contamination of this kind. Our Ser-vice personnel will be pleased to answer any further questions: simply mail your questions to us at [email protected].

ARBURG inspection contractFor the purpose of machine inspections, ARBURG offers inspection contracts cover-ing intervals of 12 or 24 months. Verified and certified functionality leads to reduced downtimes and less machine wear.ARBURG inspection contracts are a guaran-tee of permanent, high machine availability and can be precisely adapted to each cus-tomer’s requirements.

Customer trainingCustomers also profit from Arburg’s exten-sive and detailed service technician training programme, as the customer training cours-es as well as the internal service technician training fall under the responsibility of the product training department. Not only will you have access to the same extensive knowledge concerning ARBURG products as the technicians, you will also be able to attend training courses for new products shortly after their introduction. Passing on this knowledge to others has been one of ARBURG’s primary concerns since customer training started in 1969. To date, tens of thousands of people have made use of these practical courses, whose subject mat-ter includes such topics as machines and service, plastics technology and robotic systems. A clearly organised overview of training topics and dates can be found in the training schedules for each country.

Our ALLROUNDER machines are distin-guished by their modular design, which allows them to be equipped according to different requirements. This modu-larity, however, does not end once the machine is delivered, but goes much further. ARBURG services are even available to you should your produc-tion requirements change and you wish to adapt your fleet of machines to the new situation. Technical customer supportFor ARBURG, personal contact is a matter of top priority. For this reason, an internal department concerns itself exclusively with technical customer support and offers indi-vidual consulting and problem solving. RetrofittingMany machines can be upgraded at a later point in time with a large number of op-tions and accessories. It is therefore also possible to subsequently modify an ALL-ROUNDER machine to meet changing re-quirements. Upon request, ARBURG can provide the customer with a precise price quotation free of charge, which he can use to determine whether conversion would be worthwhile. If the customer decides in fa-vour of conversion, the new components are professionally installed by a qualified service technician. RepairsIf a customer wishes to have a machine component repaired instead of replaced, it can be sent to the ARBURG repairs de-partment. This service extends to both me-chanical components as well as the control system and is mainly of interest for older ARBURG machines. The range of services offered by the repair department includes testing, cleaning and measurement of com-ponents, logging of diagnostic findings as well as repair of the parts. After the experts have determined the extent to which a re-pair is possible, a price quotation is created.

Using this quotation, the customer can then decide for himself whether a repair is worthwhile or if replacement represents the better alternative. In many cases, it is also sufficient to simply send in a photograph of the affected machine components, which can be used to determine whether repair is possible. The fastest and least expensive option is to send a digital photo by e-mail to the ARBURG repair department at „[email protected]
