Hello fellow freshmen Key Clubbers! We are offering you the chance to be on

the Westmont Key Club board as a freshman representative for the 2012-2013

Key Club term. Often the board is made up of upperclassmen, and we tend to

lose touch with the new class. By becoming a freshmen representative, you play

the crucial role as our connection to your class. If you are interested, please

complete the following application form and write a letter of intent answering

the following questions. We will then select a few to be interviewed by the

president, vice-president, and advisor. These interviews will be scheduled the

week after the applications are due.

Your job will include:

Encouraging your classmates to join or attend Key Club events! Giving your voice as to how Key Club should be run! Helping the other board members with any tasks that they might need! Taking charge of events! Attending a majority of the divisional council meetings (DCMs)!

Requirements:

Be a paid Key Club member. Be a freshman. Attend all board meetings (Mondays during lunch) and general meetings. Attend a majority of Key Club events.

Answer the following questions in your letter of intent:

1. Why do you want to be a part of the Key Club board?

2. How do you plan on balancing extracurricular activities with Key Club?

3. What qualities do you possess that the Key Club board can benefit from?

4. What do you want to accomplish as a board member? What plans in the

future do you have for Key Club?

5. What does Key Club mean to you?

We will be accepting two freshmen for this term. Applications will be due

Monday, November 26. There will be no exceptions! Please turn your application

to Mr. Yang in room 60.
