Agricultural Research Summary

Cities and Towns in the Texoma Region

Since many businesses are indexed by where they are based out of, we looked up all of the

cities and towns for Cooke, Fannin, and Grayson counties using the TX HomeTownLocator®

website.1

We also used this site to determine the zip codes associated with these counties, since some of

the search functions of agricultural databases require this information (keep in mind that these

are just the zip codes that enter into this county and that the zip code lines do not necessarily

follow the county lines).

Growers in the Texoma Region

Most of the government data2 is presented in aggregate format (like a census where no

individual information is given) and many other sources3 also include individuals who have

agricultural exemptions for growing their own personal food or raising their own livestock (not

for business purposes).
