Over the last 50 years, geosynthetics have increasingly replaced natural materials

in applications that require drainage and filtration, and the benefits of using

geosynthetics have been well documented by respected industry leaders. Geosyn-

thetic drainage products have been proven to offer easy and fast installation, cost

savings, and a control over product quality that is not found with natural stone

or sand.

GSE has the most comprehensive drainage products portfolio in the industry,

offering biplanar, triplanar, and triaxial geonet structures. In addition to standard

geonets and geocomposites, GSE has developed highly engineered drainage

systems for specific applications that demand superior flow, high compressive

strength, and filtering performance, such as CoalDrain for coal ash containment,

MineDrain for heap leach pads, BioDrain for leachate recirculation landfills, and

TenFlow Airmax for landfill gas collection.

When you work with GSE, your questions are answered by the most highly-trained

engineering and technical staff in the industry. You will benefit from the experience

we’ve gained by helping our customers install millions of square meters of product

around the world.

Geonets are synthetic drainage materials designed to transmit fluids and gasses

uniformly under many field conditions. Geocomposites consist of a geonet heat

bonded with a nonwoven needle-punched geotextile, and are designed to pro-

vide drainage filtration in order to keep silt and soil particles from clogging the

flow or to increase friction characteristics.

Bi-Planar Bi-planar geonets and geocomposites consist of two sets

of HDPE ribs intersecting at different angles and spacing.

GSE offers several bi-planar products of different weights,

shapes, and rib spacing which provide different attributes

depending on their intended use.

Tri-PlanarGSE HyperDrain tri-planar geonets or FabriDrain tri-pla-

nar geocomposites consist of centralized middle ribs that

provide channelized flow, and diagonally placed top and

bottom strands that minimize geotextile intrusion. The

void-maintaining core structure provides higher transmis-

sivity than bi-planar products.

FabriNet

GSE FabriNet geocomposite consists of a 3.8 to 6.35

mm thick GSE HyperNet geonet heat-laminated on

one or both sides with a nonwoven needle-punched ge-

otextile. The geotextile is available in 200 g/m2 and 270

g/m2 mass per unit area to fit project requirements.

FabriDrain

GSE FabriDrain geocomposite consists of a 4.8 to 9.2

mm thick GSE HyperDrain geonet heat-laminated on

one or both sides with a nonwoven needle-punched ge-

otextile. The geotextile is available in 200 g/m2 and 270

g/m2 mass per unit area per project requirements.

Drainage Design Structures GSE has innovated a variety of design structures specially engineered to accommodate each situation.

HyperNet

The bi-planar structure of GSE HyperNet geonet is

formed specifically to transmit fluids uniformly under a

variety of field conditions. It is available in thicknesses

ranging from 3.8 to 6.35 mm.

HyperDrain

The tri-planar structure of GSE HyperDrain geonet

is designed to provide high transmissivity, minimize

intrusion, and transmit fluids and gasses uniformly. It is

available in thicknesses ranging from 4.8 to 9.2 mm.
