Ministry of Defense Telecommunications System

“Strandja-2” is the telecommunications backbone network of the Bulgarian Army. The project is deployed within the entire country’s territory. The system provides real time data, voice and video transfer. “Electron Progress” EAD provided a turn-key solution to the Ministry of Defence and Bulgarian Armed Forces for the development of the system. “Comet” technology

• The “Comet” technology is completely Bulgarian intellectual product. The articles are designed and build according to MIL-STD-810F standard. They are produced and tested in the condition of certified system of quality management ISO9001:2000 and AQAP 2110

• “Comet” can be configured in manner to answer the specific client's needs –mobile, stationary and man-carried

• Each module can work independent or in system with other modules. In case of setting up of complicated solutions, a number of independent and faraway located systems can be controlled from distance and/or centralized from the Command center by Management and Configuration Software

• All jam conditions can be programmed by the client using specialized software installed on Windows based computer ( the software can be developed according to customer needs)

“Single European Emergency Number -112”Pilot Project for Sofia Region

• The Government of Bulgaria introduced the single European emergency number 112 in accordance with the requirements for the harmonization oftelecommunication services in the country with those of the European Union. In particular with those services related with emergency calls for the event of natural disasters, accidents, and catastrophes, terrorist attacks, need of urgent medical attention, police raids of different character and also work in wartime.

• The first regional centre for emergency calls in Sofia was build by Consortium in which “Electron Progress” EAD had a leading role.
