Operation FriendshipGrissom Patriots are collecting for

“Operation Friendship,” helping victims of Hurricane Harvey. Please bring

items to school by FRIDAY and place on the benches in the front hallway.

Items needed include: bottled water, sports drinks and diapers, in addition

to new or gently used blankets, towels, pillows and pet crates. Thank you for

your generosity!

Student CouncilStudent Council will meet Tuesday after school until 4:05 pm. We will

meet in Room 118.

Jazz BandJazz Band begins Wednesday, Sept. 6th. Rehearsals are at 4:00 and take

place at Prairie View.

IntramuralsIntramurals are held each week here at Grissom. Volleyball intramurals are held on Tuesdays, and Basketball intramurals are held on Thursdays. All

intramurals are held from 7:45-8:25 am. Permission forms are in the rack outside the Main Office.

*Intramurals begin Sept. 12 for Volleyball and Sept.14 for Basketball.

Pizza/Dippin’ Dot Orders

Order forms and payment for Pizza and Dippin Dot days are due Friday, Sept. 15.

Tuesday, Sept. 5th. Support is offered from 8:00-8:35 each morning, and from 3:10-4:00

Monday through Thursday. You must arrive at the beginning of

the session and stay for the whole time!

Water Bottle Filling Station Challenge

Last year Grissom Patriots saved over 6,600 plastic water bottles

from ending up in landfills by using the water bottle filling stations throughout the building. Please

remember to use these instead of plastic bottles. So far this year,

we’ve saved 481 bottles from landfills! Let’s beat last year’s total!
