Are you in 5th-12th grade and interested in helping lead worship? Acolytes at the 11 am worship service assist the pastors and do cool things that enrich worship. Join our team! The next training for new acolytes will be Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6:00, 6:45, and 7:30 pm - pick whichever one works best for you! Contact Curt Campbell at ccampbell@cotsumc.org to hold a place or learn more.

Registration opens for Upward Basketball on the church website starting September 3. Fall Launch is Sunday, September 8! Come celebrate and fellowship with members and new friends at the Fall Launch Picnic Lunch in the Great Hall and on the front lawn, immediately following the 11 am worship service. Delicious fried chicken will be provided. Please bring either a salad (no mayo-based dressing), side dish, or dessert to share. Although refrigeration and warming ovens will be available, the most ideal food items are those that can be served at room temperature. See you there! Friends and Neighbors Invitation Campaign: Invite a friend who doesn’t have a church home to come with you to church on September 8, 15, or 22 or all three. You can pick up a business-sized card invitation which includes a link to our welcome video. Cards are available as you exit today. Kairos Inside Weekend #36 at Trumbull Correction Institution will take place on 9/19 through 9/22/19, and will be staffed with the following COTS members on the “inside team”: Tom Wadsworth (Weekend Leader), Brian Broadbent, Pete Evangelista, David Hildebrandt, Evan Leonard, and Richard Vethamani. Eric Lewis is leading the Kitchen Crew, with assistance from Kristi Bergren, Karl Kaups, Dyann Whaley, and Tina Yost.
