L’analogie : Analogy Processus d’identification de similarités entre
deux concepts ( Treagust, 1993) Process consisting of identifying similarities
between two concepts ( Treagust, 1993)
Avantages/utilisation : Permet d’expliquer et /ou décrire un concept nouveau ou/et complexe par un autre plus simple ou/et plus accessible (cognitivement).
Avanatges of an analogy : Possible and easy to explain a new/complex concept by
another easy and simple one which the cognition and the understanding is acccessible
« L'analogie intervient précisément au cœur de la langue, comme support opératoire du transfert métaphorique qui permet d'appréhender l'inconnu à partir du connu, ou d'établir des relations nouvelles entre des choses connues. »
( Durand-Richard, 2008) Analogy is in the core of the language, as a support for
the metaphorical transfer which make it possible to approach the unknown from the know, and to establish links between understandable things

mécanique cette espèce de solidarité. Ce mot ne signifie pas qu'elle soit produite par des moyens mécaniques et artificiellement. Nous ne la nommons ainsi que par analogie avec la cohésion qui unit entre eux les éléments des corps bruts, par opposition à celle qui fait l'unité des corps vivants »

Durkheim was the first one to use the concept of analogy ( even if his method of using is was criticise )

new/complex concept

Thèse : le livrable final ( L’objet). Par extension ou métonymie tout ce qui est lié à cet objet.
Thesis : final report/dissertation ( the object)
and by extension all what is associated to this object.
Concept Analogue ( analog) : « un repas » ( pizza aux fruits de mer).
Analog concept : « A meal » ( pizza with seafood in this exemple)
