Facts About the Poison Dart Frog

Poison dart frogs are amphibians that live in rainforest habitats in Central and South America. They are up to 2 inches long, so they are very hard to find. They used their long tongues to catch files, ants, insects, termites and spiders.

Poison dart frogs can be lots of different colours like yellow, gold, copper, red, green, blue and also black. There are four different types of poison dart frogs left in the world. A poison dart frogs predator is a snake. The two-inch long golden poison frog has enough poison to kill 10 grown men, but poison dart frogs raised in captivity and isolated from insects in their native habitat never develop

poison. Their habit is that they carry tadpoles on their backs.
