“Travelling through the country of knowledge in Physiology of the Endocrine system”

Robert: Hello, Bill. I see you are busy! What are doing? Bill: Hi, Robert. Yes, it’s true. I’m learning Physiology of the

Endocrine system. In a day we'll write a test. Robert: I understand. Can I help you? Bill: Yes, it will be great! You may ask me some questions to

check my knowledge. Robert: Ok! I like this idea. So, what gland produces insulin? Bill: I guess it might be the thyroid gland. Robert: I can’t agree with you. You are wrong, it’s the pancreas

gland. Bill: Really! Robert: Can you name the hormones of the adenohypophysis? Bill: To my mind these are androgens and oestrogens.

Robert: No, you are mistaken again. They are the hormones of the adrenal glands. And the adenohypophysis produces somatotropin, thyrotropin, adrenocorticotropic and some gonadotropic hormones.

Bill: Oh, you are right. Robert: What is the difference between the endocrine and the

exocrine glands? Bill: I don’t remember! It's rather difficult to know all these

endocrine and exocrine glands, their functions and hormones. It’s too much for me!

Robert: So, Bill, if you want to pass your test you should learn this theme better. Good luck!

Bill: Thank you, Robert for your help. I’ll do my best.

Tom’s coming was a blessing.

Томів приїзд був великою розрадою

It was Shchedryk’s singing that made it well-known in Poland and now in France.

Саме спів хору Щедрик приніс йому визнання у Польщі, а тепер і у Франції

I didn’t like his hearing such stupid things

Мені не подобалося, що він слухає такі нерозумні розмови

I think everybody looked forward to his coming back

По-моєму, всі чекали на його повернення
