“ There can be no words without pictures”

A PICTURE can send different messages depending on how you look at it.

Tell something about the pictures that you will see in the next slides…

Pictures like words can be used as a tool for communication

Basic Camera Shots

1. Extreme Long Shot  A view from an even greater

distance, in which people appear as small dots in the landscape if at all

2. Very long shot The subject is barely visible

The emphasis is still on placing him in his environment

3. Long Shots It contains landscape but gives the

viewer a more specific idea of setting.

4. Medium Long Shot A value of framing that almost shows

the full subject

5. Medium ShotA camera angle shot from a medium

distance.

6. The medium close up

A half way between a mid shot and a close up. This shot shows the face more clearly, without getting uncomfortably close.

7. Close up A type of shot, which tightly frames a person or an object.

8. Big close up   Includes the eyes and mouth but not the whole head

9. Extreme close up Shot  Any shot that zooms in very

close to a particular part of a subject.
