TRANSCRIPT

  • 1. Research on CameraShots{This is a presentation showing some of the camerashots that Ive researched for my Preliminary Film.

2. This camera angle is a mid-shot close up. It emphasizes both charactersexpression. We can also tell that they are showing the characters expressions, because they have blurred the background just to emphasize their faces. 3. This scene has been taken from a high angle shot. Its been taken this way to showall the letters and mess on the floor. It also emphasizes the scratches on thewoodwork, which connotes that the owner of the house doesn'tt take much care ofit. 4. This camera angle is a wide shot. Its been taken this way, to show that outside is infact quite warm and sunny, and it also shows the girl covered in a blanket; whichconnotes that shes feeling weak or ill. 5. This camera angle is a close up. They have used this shot to show the expression onher face in particular. She looks upset and tired. From the tube in her nose, we cantell that shes ill, therefore most probably feeling weak because of her illness. 6. This camera angle is a extreme close up. They have used this shot to show theinnocence in her eyes. Also, to show that she looks the same as everyone else, becausethroughout the whole film, her face is shown and the audience can clearly see thatshe is ill because of the tube in her nose. 7. This is a close up. It emphasizes her food. We can see that her sandwich andmilkshake is on one side of the tray, whilst her medicine is on the other side. Thepills are closer to her which connotes that she make have to take them first beforeher meal. 8. This camera angle is a mid-close up. The shot has been taken using the 180 degreerule, to show the two having a conversation. The camera is facing her which infersthat she is the one talking. 9. This is a scene from The Fault In Our Stars. The camera shots in this scenefocuses on a conversation between both characters. It switches from one personto the other to show their emotions, or to show who is actually speaking. Thiscan help me in my own Preliminary Film, because it will give me an idea onhow to film the conversation. 10. In this scene, the camera is on a track, and is moving as the lady walks in. It also ison a pan, where it shows the dcor of the restaurant to the audience. This is useful, because it will give me an idea on how I can move the camera whilst my actors arewalking.
