Vitamin water is a “nutrient enhanced water beverage” made by Glaceau. Each unique flavour includes a different variety of vitamins and medicinal ingredients, and is bottled up with a funny description or story.

company history

Glaceau was formed in 1996 in New York, with the idea to create alternatives to ordinary bottled water. Along with Vitamin Water, the company also has similar products such as Smart Water, Vitamin Energy, and Fruit Water.

In May of 2007, Glaceau was bought by the Coca Cola Company. Soon after this, the product became available for sale in Canada, limited to only 8 of the original 15 flavours.

Vitamin water is meant for drinkers over the age of 12. It is not just a flavoured water drink, it does have medicinal benefits. Most of the flavours include vitamin C along with another unique vitamin. Vitamin water is made with vapor distilled, deionized, and/or reverse osmosis water, and is low in sugar. According to the bottle, the drink's purpose is to “hydrate and replenish the body with essential vitamins and minerals”
