I took a cable car to Sugarloaf Mountain, 1296 Feet above sea-level. From the top you can see the city of Rio and the surrounding beaches and forests.

Manaus thrives on exports from the Amazon Region. Especially rubber and one of my favorite nuts the “Brazil nut”. Amazon's forest has some unique plant species like Brazil nuts, which are found nowhere else on the planet earth. The Brazil Nut trees are thought to have a life span of 500-700 years.

I visited a local caboclo village and learned about the local customs and met some very interesting and hospitable people.

Today a group of use went hiking through the Amazon Jungle with our tour guild Rodrigo. We saw some awesome animals and flora.
