INTRODUCTION
The education system and school are here for a purpose. Education is seen by many as
the mans guide to nurture intelligence in every individuals, especially the young.
Through Schools First Initiative (SFI), every organization the GPTCA, PGO’s, LGU’s,
NGO’s and other stakeholders are involved in planning and improving the school for the good of
the pupils as well as the community.
The Three Year Improvement Plan serve as reference materials for the School Head,
teachers and stakeholders in what to implement or impose that will solve the existing problems
encountered in school.

II. SCHOOL & COMMUNITY PROFILE
I. SCHOOL
Location:Rosita Elementary School is located in southeast portion of Albor District with Llamera
Elementary School on its North and Villa Ecleo Elementary School on its South.
TopographyThe school is located at the hilly place, but unfortunately it is the side where it is passage
of the transportation from Rosita to the town of San Jose or to the Municipality of Libjo, through
land transportation.
History.
Several years had passed Sitio Madamlog was under the stewardship of Janito T. Tapic
wherein, a primary school was successfully opened in 1976 that was the time of Mr. Eliseo
Alvarez as the District Supervisor of Albor. In the year 1991-1992 the school became a complete
elementary. Presently Rosita Elementary School is now a complete elementary having 4
monograde classless and 1 combination class with 5 teachers spearheaded by the cluster head
Crisbe C. Guma-od.

Personnel
Rosita Elementary School has 5 teachers, 1 I s handling combination classes. It
managed by a cluster head, Crisbe C. Guma-od.
Physical & Ancillary Services
The school has 6 instructional classrooms. No electrical and water facilities &
laboratories for workshop.
Learning Materials & Equipment
Due to school MOOE and other DepEd funds the school owned now learning
materials like big books, story books, globes and dictionary. It has also science
apparatuses.

A.2.1 Pupil/Student Performance
The performance of the pupils in terms of school achievement test increases their
NAT MPS from 62.48% previous year to 82.37% this school year 2008-2009.

The school implemented Basic Education Curriculum to make them more
effective in teaching and it support subjects like Project DEAR, it is done 30 minutes
before classes started.

The teachers fully implemented the Basic Education Curriculum to make them more
effective in teachings.
A.3. School Management
School Management & Administration
The school administers and manages the whole system satisfactorily as it us
evidenced on pupil, parents BLGU participation during Brigada Eskwela, monthly PTCA
meeting and other school activities.
The school head supervised and monitored the teachers always. He disseminate
updates and information as the need arises. Classroom observation done smoothly.
GPTCA meeting done regularly every month. The school head is always looking for the
battlement of his school, teachers and pupils.

II. COMMUNITY
Location:Barangay Rosita is located in southeast portion of the Municipality of Libjo with
Barangay Llamera and Bayanihan on its North and the municipality of Basilisa on its south. On
the east, it Municipality of Cagdianao while Brgy. Plaridel is on its west.
Topography:
From the vernacular word “madanlog” meaning slippery, this place was named Sitio
Madanlog before it became a progressive barangay of Libjo.
In the year 1972 migration to Dinagat Island by the members of Philippine Benevolent
Missionary Association (PBMA) from the different points of origin of the country was on its
highest peak. With the over population of Barangay San Jose (now Municipality of San Jose)
some migrants has seek for a better place in the island to settle their families. They had chosen
the place due to the abundance of chromites deposits and vast forest as their source of livelihood.
Year had passed, the settlers was organized into a purok under the stewardship of Juanito
T. Tapic who became it s purok president.
The purok officials continued to struggle towards the creation of sitio to a barangay until
1977, the Municipal Council of Libjo had unanimously passed a Resolution No. 021, which
purposes for the creation of Sitio Madanlog into a barangay named Rosita in the honor of the
wife of late Municipal Mayor Lamberto A. Llamera, Sr.
SOCIO-CULTURAL
Its constituents mostly originated from the provinces of Cebu, Bohol, Iloilo and Negros
Oriental. Yet, it is also populated with ethnic groups of Dababaonons, Muslim and Manobo. The
predominant dialect spoken in the area is Cebuano.

POLITICAL
Barangay Rosita is one of the sixteen barangay in the municipality of Libjo, which was
subdivided into 5 purok.
DEMOGRAPHY
Barangay Rosita has a total population of 1,008 comprising 195 household and families
with an average of five members.
Economy
Barangay Rosita is famous for its Multi-purpose Cooperative that engages in wholesale
trading of various agri-products such as corn, coffee, copia citronella. Likewise, they have micro
lending to its member with every minimal interest post harvest services and transportation
services. Rootcrops (sweet potato/camote) is abundantly produced in the area, hence a number of
local merchants are selling these to local market. There is also number of retail sari-sari stores in
the area engaged in retailing consumer goods. Other economic resources in the barangay
included the utilization of corn as animal feeds.

The table above shows the school MPS NAT result is increasing this year from 62.48% to
82.37. All the subject areas met the mastery level of 75%. It connotes that teachers effort has
gain positive result this plan after having their thorough review in all subject especially on the
least earned competencies.

The above data revealed that 48% belongs to frustration level readers, 39% belongs to
instructional level. Only 13% belongs to independents levels. It shows that there is a need for
remedial class for those pupils under frustration level to enhance

Out of 172 pupils tested in Filipino-oral 29 or 17% belongs to independent level, 76 or 44% belongs to instructional and 67% or 39 pupils belongs to frustration level. The data revealed that there is also a need for remedial class and follow-up reading at home for those pupils belong to frustration level.

Results revealed that 44% of the pupils belong to Instructional Level. There is an need to enhanced remedial class for those pupils under the frustration level.

Out of 37 grade I Entrants there were 18 pupils who are ready during the pretest
examination. There were 19 pupils who do not undergone ECCD and reported as not ready.
During the post test, only 35 grade I entrants took the test, ready is increased to 28 and
decrease to 7 pupils who are not ready.
On the Co curricular Activities
Our school support and fully implemented DepEd Project like Project DEAR, 30 minutes reading of any kinds of reading materials available in the classroom and it was done before classes started.

2. INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS
The school provided the teachers and pupils school supplies to utilize on making
instructional materials. We have also big books, dictionary & science apparatus, funded by the
MOOE and SBM grants.
2.a. School Equipmentthe school has no playground facilities, H.E./Industrial Art, Garden tools
equipment. We have also science apparatuses, DVD player and speakers that was funded by the MOOE and SBM Funds.

School intensifies in holding meeting monthly by PTCA,

The school received allocation fund from DepEd, MOOE,
SBM Grants, SBRMS.
Management and Administration
Almost 100% of the parents and LGU participated actively school activities like Brigada Eskwela, GPTCA meeting and TAGBO. It means school manage and administered very satisfactorily.
