• We build on 2 successful CLAHRCs – - Notts, Derby Lincs [NDL] & Leics, Northants, Rutland [LNR] [2009-

2013]• Is what we know what we do?• Not enough of the time – but things are changing!• We launch today’s CLAHRC with high ambition• Key ingredients:

• World class researchers• Focussed on long term conditions• Diffuse how to avoid, delay onset, ‘optimise’, improve health gain• Good leadership, diffusion, 55 Partners
