All About Me!

My name is Victor Hugo and I am nervous about this school year. I just moved to

El Paso six months ago so I don’t really know anyone here except for my cousins. I am

living with my uncle because the rest of my family lives in California. I want to move back to California

after I graduate, but I can’t go back now because my mom just passed away from cancer. I haven’t

really hung out with my uncle that much either, so it’s kind of weird and I miss not being home and

stuff.

I kinda like English…it’s fun to read things that I enjoy…like cars, offroading,

jetskiing and stuff like that, but I have a hard time understanding some words if I’m

reading something that I don’t really know about. On my spare time, I usually like to

go offroading in my truck, go to the movies, or whatever comes up. I hate crowds, though, so I don’t

like to go to places where there’s a lot of people.

PLAN OF ACTION: MY PLAN TO MOVE TO THE MAIN CAMPUS

Prompt: Write an essay in which you lay out a plan for what you will be doing this semester in order to move to the main campus.

You need a sheet of paper.Brainstorm on the front of the paper.

List 3 things you will do to get to the main campus. Create a thesis statement containing the two main

steps of your plan.Write your essay on the back of the paper.

Your heading follows MLA format. Your title is centered on the first line of your paper. Indent when you start. (Create a new paragraph each

Every time you are late, you must sign in. You will have detention after school the same day you are late.

Every time you leave the classroom, you must sign out and sign back in. You must take a pass with you, as well.

If you turn in an assignment within two class meetings: maximum grade of 70.

After that, assignments will receive a zero and cannot be made up.

Projects lose 10 points per day they are late.

2nd Semester:NO LATE WORK.

Tests If you receive a grade below 70 on

a test, you must discuss a retake day with me the day your test is passed back to you.

If you do not make up the test, your original grade will be kept.
