HNC 2014 was attended by 63,331* visitors, 10% more than the previous year. The visitors came from over 100 countries and worked in various industries, including nu-traceuticals, food and pharmaceuticals. The exhibiting area for the entire food shows exceeded 18,833 sqm, and featured 918 exhibitors with 112 international ex-hibitors from USA, UK, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Brazil, including Rousselot, DuPont, Tongrentang, Sirio, Gelita, Swanson, and Aurinda among others.
HNC is the health food exhibition which has most international exhibitors and visitors in China. According to the post-event survey, 81% of the international visitors thought the show was important to their business; 92% thought the visiting experi-ence was great and 73% were sure of visiting the show again in 2015. 80% of interna-tional exhibitors thought their exhibiting experience was excellent or good, 81% would recommend the show to their colleagues and 57% said the show met their ex-pectations. Over half of the 2014 exhibitors have already rebooked their booths onsite for 2015, with 54% of the remainder likely to rebook.* Total visitor numbers for HNC, Fi Asia-China and CPhI China

HNC is an annual gathering for the professionals in global health industry. The 2014 edition realized the maximization of resource integration and spread across 17 halls of the SNIEC (Shanghai New International Expo Center). It was co-located with Fi Asia-China, Hi & Ni, the most important food ingredients show in China. The Starch Exhibition was newly introduced this year, and it is the only international expo for starch in China. Expo FoodTec showcased food machinery, packaging, and technology innovations in the food and beverage industry. HNC is also held in conjunction with CPhI China, the world's largest ingredient tradeshow for the pharmaceutical industry. Together with the co-located shows, HNC provided par-ticipants not only a global gathering of the health industry, but an industry chain platform from ingredients to finished products. 18% 23%

The year-on-year growth of inter-national visitors is one of the advantages of HNC, which distin-guishes HNC from other domestic health expos in China and pro-vides a best international platform for the participants.

The China Natural & Nutraceutical Industry Conference was presented by industry regu-latory authorities, experts and leading enter-prises, including the Ministry of Science and Technology the torch high technology indus-try development center, Chinese Nutrition Society, China Health Care Market Associa-tion, China Consumer s Association and other provincial and municipal health care associations. It provided the platform where visitors could get the updated regulations in the new Chinese health industry, the devel-opment tendency and the market strategies.
In the China and Foregine Health Food Semi-nar, companies shared their experience and learnt the new technology and products of international manufacturers, which was very useful for their development in the future. The seminar was very popular and was occupied with over 180 attendees.

The party was held in relaxed and pleas-ant environment, with football pitch, wine and music. The participants shared their opinions and experiences about the cur-rent global health industry, while enjoying the beautiful wines and playing football in the music of FIFA World Cup Brazil. The aim for this event was delivering the idea that health industry is an industry with happi-ness and the people who work in this industry should also take more exercise to pursue their own health happily.

Match Making: Supermarkets Chains & Pharmacy ChainsThe match makings with supermarkets and pharmacy stores
had been held for several years at HNC and received great
feedbacks from exhibitors. Nine pharmacy stores and five
supermarkets, which are able to represent the industry, were
invited to the show. It was a unique platform for the health
food manufacturers to talk to the decision makers from super-
markets and pharmacy stores and established business coop-
eration with them. This event was only available for the exhibi-
tors of HNC 2014.
The deputy director, Zhang Jin, of China Food & Drug Administration introduced the outline of health food application and its procedures, ap-proval documents and future plans in the confer-ence. The researcher, Ma Guansheng, of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, intro-duced the current Chinese citizens nutrition status and application of health supplements. Senior manager, Liu Lin, of NSF China introduced the poli-cies and quality control system of American supplements. The attendees also listened to the speeches from local institutions and health food companies about the development and charac-teristics of Chinese special dietary food industry and the regulations of food export.
