Owned Content vs. Shared Content

• Owned content is any content that you host. For an example, a blog.

• Shared content is any content that lives on a social network.

• You want to strive to have owned content as your base, since you control it.

Owned Content – What does this really mean?

Get your website in order before you even think about social media.

And what about shared content?

Do no more than what you can reasonably do while also keeping up your website.

What do I do?

Before anything else, I check each social network to see if anyone has responded and reply as needed.

• Experiment with what will accommodate your fans and your personal schedule.
