Important Health Information Current Immunization Requirements for 7th graders
Tdap required at 7th grade.
Three doses of Hepatitis B vaccine are required through grade 12.
Varicella (chickenpox): two doses are required for Kindergarten–12th grade, unless history of
varicella disease documented by a licensed physician.
Parents, you may view your child’s immunization records when accessing your parent portal account.
If your child has had immunizations not listed in parent portal, please send you child’s immunization
record to the school health room. A copy of the immunization record will be made and the
immunization record in parent portal will be changed.
Tornado Watch
When the Topeka area is under a Tornado Watch, all after school activities at
Indian Hills will be postponed or canceled.

Summer Robotics Camp 2018
What is Robotics Camp? A camp for students wanting to learn about, build and participate in robot competitions! Our major competitions will be SUMO, Capture the Flag, Dragster, Obstacle MAZE and for those who really like a challenge "King of the Hill"!
Who is Robotics Camp for? Students who will be entering 5th through 8th grades for the 2018-2019 school year. Students attending robotics camp for a second or third time will be placed in advanced/enrichment groups dealing with new robotics concepts and challenges.

Summer Science Camp 2018
What is Science Camp? Small classes where students explore nature, wildlife and science fun. The focus of instruction
is hands on experience emphasizing conservation, environmental education and wildlife education through activities including identification of insects, wildflowers, birds, and pond life and lots of nature hiking.
Who is Science Camp for? Students who will be entering 1st through 7th grades for the 2018-2019 school year.
Instructors are Gifted Facilitators Donna Sanders and Jenni Howard.
Where is Science Camp? The camp is located at the USD 437 Environmental lab, behind WRMS.
When is Science Camp?
May 29th-June 1: Tues– Fri….Session 1: 8:00-10:00 Session 2: 10:30-12:30
June 4-June 7: Mon-Thurs…. Session 3: 8:00 10:00
Advanced Session June 4-7: Mon-Thurs….Session 4: 10:30-12:30 The advance study class is recommended for students who have attended summer science at
least 2 years previously OR students in 5th or 6th grade.

Sixth Grade Parent Night
There is a meeting scheduled at Washburn Rural Middle School on Wednesday
April 25th, at 6:30 PM. This meeting is for parents of sixth grade
students that will attend WRMS next year.
Report Cards go home last day of school!
The next Board of Education Meeting will be held on May 7th, at Shuler Education Center, 6:30 PM
Indian Hills Science Fair The Indian Hills Science Fair is coming April 25th!!
Set-up will be from 7:30-8:30 AM.
Judged from 3:00-4:30 PM.
Open to the Public from 4:30-6:30 PM.

Pennies for Patients Our Pennies for patients campaign was a hug success!

Since 2003, Indian Hills as raised a total of $53,496.84 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
