HOW SOCCER BALL IS MADE?

• The ball used in early Britain were probably made from animal leather BLADDERS.

• 3 important steps:

1. Make The Bladder and The Lining

• Inside soccer ball there is bladder.

• Bladder is made from butyl or latex.

• The highest quality bladder is butyl.

1. Make The Bladder and The Lining• Bladder is carefully heated.• Pour it in the mould.• Once cold, put the bladder aside.

The bladder is covered by layers of lining (4-6 layers).

The layers are composed by polyester or laminated cotton.

2. Make The Outer Cover

• The cover is made from rubber or synthetic leather.

• The cover is sent to the machine, cut out become individual panels.

3. Combining and Finishing

• The panels are sewn together.

• Once the panels are almost complete, put the bladder inside.

Experienced ball maker could make 4/5 soccer balls/day.

•The remaining panels are sewn closed around the spot.•The ball is inflated.
