Static Guard Services

The Firearm Licensing Authority invites tenders from suitably qualifi ed security providers for the Provision of Static Guard Services.

SCOPE OF WORKTo Provide armed and unarmed Security Offi cers; To provide Supervisor for Security Personnel on a 24-hrbasis for premises located at:• Head Offi ce: 91A Old Hope Road, Kingston 6• Montego Bay Regional Offi ce, Bogue City Centre, Montego

Bay, St. James• Mandeville Regional Offi ce, James Warehouse Plaza, Mandeville,

Manchester• Ocho Rios Regional Offi ce (Proposed).

Specifi c assignments will require the position of Security Offi cersat predetermined strategic locations as well as patrol. Offi cers will have the responsibility to monitor all activities on the premises identifi ed above and make daily reports on these activities.

ELIGIBILTY OF CONTRACTORCompanies responding to the tenders should:• Submit a valid National Contracts Commission (NCC) Certifi cate in the grade and category of SAFETY AND SECURITY SERVICES;• Present a valid Tax Compliance Certifi cate (TCC)/Letter (TCL);• Proof of registration with the Private Security Regulation Authority (PSRA);• Demonstrate competence and experience in the provision of similar services to industrial and commercial properties;• Submit a Manager’s Cheque representing Bid Security.

TENDER DOCUMENTInterested companies are required to collect Tender Packages as at Monday June 04, 2018, Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

1. The Government of Jamaica (GOJ) has received fi nancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Strategic Public Sector Transformation Project (SPSTP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the procurement of a Mobile Calibration Equipment for the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ).

2. The Ministry of Finance and the Public Service now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for a Mobile Calibration Equipment( a truck fi tted with a knuckle-type lifting crane).

3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive

procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specifi ed in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defi ned in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Terry Ann Frith, Procurement and Administrative Manager, Strategic Public Sector Transformation Project, Ministry of Finance and the Public Service, 30 National Heroes Circle, Kingston, Jamaica, email: terryann.frith@mof.gov.jm and inspect the bidding document during offi ce hours Mondays to Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the

address given below.

5. The bidding document in English may be requested by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. The document will be sent by email.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before July 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted.

Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Two Thousand Four Hundred United States Dollars (US$2,400) or Jamaican equivalent of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars (J$300,000)
