System Requirements Before installing, make sure that the following requirements are met on the client computer:
OS: Windows 7 or Windows 8
Client: Microsoft Office Outlook 2010
Microsoft.NET Framework 4
Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime
An active Internet connection is required to configure and use the Add-in in Outlook
Prerequisites Be sure to have the following information at hand, when installing and configuring Campaign Monitor for Outlook:
Your License Name and License key
Your Campaign Monitor login url, User name and Password
You can obtain a free trial license at www.applications.dk/downloads/trial-software.aspx
You can create a free Campaign Monitor account at signup.campaignmonitor.com/signup
The Microsoft.Net Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime requirements will be downloaded
and installed by the installation program. If you want to install the two components manually, before installing
Campaign Monitor for Outlook, you can do so, by following these instructions:

If you are deploying Dynamo – Campaign Monitor for Outlook on many machines, it is recommended to install the
above two prerequisites on all machines, to speed up the Campaign Monitor for Outlook deployment.
Important: User rights needed for installing prerequisites
The installation package for the Microsoft.NET Framework requires that the user has Administrative rights on the
computer where the package is installed. If you DO NOT have administrative rights on your computer, you need to
ask your IT-Administrator to install Microsoft.NET Framework 4 and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office
Runtime on your computer, before installing Campaign Monitor for Outlook.

Installing Campaign Monitor for Outlook The installation can be completed in a few minutes, depending on how many of the prerequisites that are already
installed on your machine. There are two steps involved:
Download and Install the Campaign Monitor Add-in for Outlook
Configure the Campaign Monitor Add-in
Download and install the Campaign Monitor Add-in for Outlook If you see any Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialogs during the installation process, be sure to press Yes.
1. Visit www.applications.dk and go to Downloads Campaign Monitor for Outlook
2. Press the Download & Install button. The following dialog will be displayed in Internet Explorer. Press
Run to continue:
If you are using another browser than IE, the dialog above will look different.
3. If Microsoft.NET Framework 4 is not installed on your computer, you will see the following dialog. Press
Accept to install the Framework:

4. If Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is not installed, you will see the following dialog. Press
Accept to install the Office Runtime files:
5. When all prerequisites are installed, the Visual Studio Tool for Office Installer starts to install Campaign
Monitor for Outlook. Your browser, might display a warning dialog. Click Allow to continue with the
installation:
6. When the installation completes, the following dialog is displayed:
7. Press Close and restart Outlook, if it was open during the installation

Configure the Campaign Monitor Add-in 1. Click on the File Tab
2. Select the Dynamo Menu
3. Press the Configure Button
The Setup Integration dialog will be displayed. Fill out the required fields:
1. Enter your License Name and License Key in the License Information group
2. Enter the url you would normally use to login to Campaign Monitor as well as your User name and
Password, in the CM Account Information group
3. Optionally you can also select the Integration Options
4. Press OK
Your License will now be registered and a connection with the Campaign Monitor server is established. You are
now ready to use the Campaign Monitor Add-in.

Switching from a trial license to a purchased license Open the Setup Integration dialog, change the License Name and/or License key and press the OK button. The
trial license will be unregistered, and your new license registered.

Campaign Monitor for Outlook feature Overview The Campaign Monitor Add-in lets you accomplish the following tasks
Adding people in your emails to Campaign Monitor From an open email you can add the sender and/or the recipients to one or more lists in Campaign Monitor
From any email folder, you can select one or more emails and add the senders and/or the recipients (up to 1,000
people at the time) to one or more lists in Campaign Monitor
Adding your Outlook contacts to Campaign Monitor From an open contact, you can add the person to one or more lists in Campaign Monitor
From any contact folder, you can select one or more contacts (up to 1,000 contacts at the time), and add them to
one or more lists in Campaign Monitor.
Options when adding people to lists The defaults for the options can be set from the Setup Integration dialog.
Resubscribe: Choose if you want to resubscribe people on the list(s) you are adding them to. This setting is in
effect, if the person being added has the status of unsubscribed on the list(s).
Queue Auto-Responders: If this option is checked, the Auto-Responders defined for the list(s) will be activated on
new people being added.
Restart Auto-responders: If this option is checked, the Auto-Responders defined for the list(s) will be re-started, if
the imported people have been previously unsubscribed on the list(s). In order to make this option work, you will
also have to check the Resubscribe option.
Accessing the full campaign activity history for Contacts A new form page, called Campaign Monitor, is added to your Contact Forms in Outlook. This page will retrieve the
full activity history for the contact, from Campaign Monitor. The History is made up from the following actions:
Emailed Opened
Links clicked in emails
Emails that has Bounced
Unsubscribes from Emails received
Spam complaints from Emails received

Campaign Activities for multiple email addresses If the contact has multiple emails registered in Outlook, Campaign Monitor for Outlook will retrieve the activities
for all the email addresses registered.
Contacts belonging to multiple subscriber lists in Campaign Monitor When the activity history is retrieved, Campaign Monitor for Outlook will retrieve the history for all the lists that the
contact belongs to, in Campaign Monitor.
Accessing Campaign Statistics You can double-click on any activity belonging to a campaign, to access the Campaign Report page in Campaign
Monitor.
Accessing Clicked Links You can double-click on any activity contains a clicked hyperlink, to open that web page.

Adding people to Campaign Monitor lists This chapter describes how to perform the different tasks.
Adding people from the reading pane in an email 1. Click on the Campaign Monitor tab
2. Press the Add to CM button
Adding people from one or multiple emails in an email folder 1. Select the emails containing the people you wish to add
2. Right-click on the selection
3. Press the Add to Campaign Monitor button
Adding a Contact from the Contact form 1. Click on the Campaign Monitor tab

Adding one or more Contacts from a Contact folder 1. Select the contacts you wish to add

The Add Subscribers dialog You use the Add Subscribers dialog to add people from emails and contacts to Campaign Monitor:
From this dialog you can control which people should be added, and to which lists.
Selecting people You can check each person in the list, or you can click on the Select All / Unselect All link to select or unselect
everybody in the list.
Selecting lists You can select one or more subscriber lists to add the people to in Campaign Monitor
Correcting names If you need to correct some of the names and/or email addresses before adding them to Campaign Monitor, you
just select the person in the list and edit the information below the list.
Setting import options Use the Options when adding group to setup the options for adding the people.

Completing an import When you press Add to Campaign Monitor button in the Add Subscribers dialog. Campaign Monitor for Outlook
will start to import the people, and you can continue working while the import completes. A status dialog is
automatically displayed in the bottom-right of your screen.
When the import is completed, the status dialog will display the result:
If any failures occurred during the import, you can click on the View Failure details to examine the errors
returned by the Campaign Monitor Server:

Displaying Campaign Activity History 1. Open the Contact
2. Press the Campaign Monitor button in the Show group to display the Activity History page
The activities will now be retrieved and displayed on the page, grouped by the Emails where the actions occurred:
Click on the View by: Date Link, to change between Date and Campaign grouping

Uninstalling Campaign Monitor for Outlook If you see any Windows User Account Control (UAC) dialogs during the installation process, be sure to press Yes.
1. Click on the File tab
2. Select the Dynamo menu
3. Press the Uninstall button
4. Press Continue with the uninstallation to confirm the uninstallation:
Keeping the license and configuration If you just wish to uninstall the Add-in, but keep the license registration and configuration, you can uninstall the
Add-in, like any other software on the computer.
1. Open the Computer in Windows
2. Click on the Uninstall or change a program button
3. Select Dynamo – Campaign Monitor for Outlook from the list of installed programs
4. Press the Uninstall button
Note: the usage count for the product will remain the same after the uninstall. When you install the product again,
the license and configuration will already be setup, and you can skip the configuration part of the installation.

Release notes Although Campaign Monitor for Outlook will run in Microsoft Office Outlook 2013, the product will not be officially
supported on that platform until Microsoft officially releases Office 2013.
