4. Strength to

suffer sickness with patience and resist temptations.

5. Recovery of

bodily health when it is good for the soul.

How should we prepare ourselves to receive Anointing

of the Sick worthily ?

•By a good confession

•By acts of faith, hope and charity

•By fostering in us the desire to identify ourselves fully with God’s will.

Who can validly administer Anointing of the Sick ?

Only a priest can validly

administer Anointing of the

It is advisable to call the priest to visit the sick at

the beginning of any serious illness, even

danger of death, and when a
