Definition: animals that spend part of their lives in water and part on land

Origin of the word “amphibian”- from the Greek word amphibious which means “double life”

Create a foldable to learn model the metamorphosis of an amphibian

Amphibian Metamorphosis (Frogs)

Create a foldable according to teacher instructions1) Eggs- are laid by adult amphibian in the water2) Young Larva-are dependent on water. They have no legs

and breathe through gills.3)Older Larva- body structures are developed that are

necessary for life on land including legs and lungs. 4) Adult- have lungs, legs, breathe through skin and can

reproduce. They require water for external reproduction.
