INTRODUCTION
The celebration of Quality Day 2013 was held on 4/1/1435. The goal of this
event is to reflect the importance of keeping quality culture in our institution. The
event was held at the clinical area (1st floor of the hospital) and at the OPD lobby.
The locations were strategically chosen to reach out to the hospital staff and to
extend the celebration to the community, thereby promoting patient awareness at
the same time.
A lecture was done to present the achievements of Quality for the last 4 years –
Achievements that were attain through active participation and coordination of all
hospital staff. The lecture is a walk-through from the time Total Quality
Management was actively started to finally receiving the hospital accreditation and
then to maintaining provision of quality service and patient safety in Al-Namas
General Hospital.
Quiz bowl and prize giving were held to refresh the hospital staff of their
knowledge on Quality.
This year's Quality Day was emphasized on the self proclamation of the hospital
staff in contributing to fulfill our aim of “Making Collaboration Count” and
keeping our institution, Al-Namas General Hospital in a quality culture
environment. This was realized by an exceptional mean of marking their
handprint and signing on the Proclamation Board entitled "Count Me In!"

Opening remarks from the Total Quality
Management Director, Mr. Mohammad Abdulla
Shehri:
Thanking all the staff who came to join the program.
He encourages all hospital staff to cooperate and
work together to attain a safe environment for our
patients and maintain quality standard services.
Gave brief content of the aim of the program, the mechanics of the
game "Pick a question, Win a Prize" and the self proclamation to
building quality culture environment. He gave confidence to the
staff that by continuous provision of quality standard services and
taking the path of patient safety, that we can still aim for a higher
standard of care and even pursue passing JCI accreditation in the
future.
Stating his commitment to become
the link between administration and
medical staff in reinforcing patient
safety and providing a high quality
standard patient service.
