Opening Our Doors

Welcome along to our Open Day. We hope youenjoy looking around the open areas and gettinginvolved in some of the activities we have laid on.

Did you know that?Derriford Hospital is the largest hospital in thesouth west peninsula, covering almost 200,000sq m, spread over 12 levels.

Today, we are opening up some of the areaswhich we think may be of most interest. We appreciate that this is a bighospital so we have prepared a colour-coded map in the centre of thisguide, which shows where the different areas can be found and what isavailable to see and do in each.

Of course, we continue to care for patients in wards and clinical areasand we would ask you to please respect their privacy and dignity andvisit the areas highlighted. We have lots of staff and volunteers on handto help direct you.

We hope you enjoy finding out more and letting us know what you thinkabout the services that we offer.

If you want to meet myself and my colleagues on the Board, which runsthis hospital and other services as part of Plymouth Hospitals NHSTrust, please do come along to the Post-Graduate Medical Centre (atthe back of the hospital) at 2pm where we will be holding our AnnualGeneral Meeting. This will be followed by a Question Time event, atwhich you can put your question to the Board.

Whatever you do, enjoy your day and please fill in a feedback form andlet us know what you think at the end.

Ann James, Chief Executive
