Amateur-Owner-Handler Class (effective as of 1/1/2009)Chapter 3, Section 7 - The Amateur-Owner-Handler Class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally, members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13).

BEST IN PUPPY CLASSESFor winners of the Puppy Dog and Puppy Bitch 6 & Under 9 Months and 9 & Under 12 Months Classes only. (Only dogs not defeated in a regular class are eligible for Best Puppy. If the winner of a Puppy class is not present for Best Puppy a second place dog may NOT compete in its place.

BEST IN BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASSESFor competition by the winners of the Best Bred by Exhibitor Dog and Best Bred by Exhibitor Bitch Class. (Only dogs not defeated in a regular class are eligible for Best Bred by Exhibitor. If the winner of a Bred by Exhibitor class is not present for Best Bred by Exhibitor a second place dog may not compete in its place.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Single Dog Entries(The winners of these Classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed)

NR1.08100.20800. Veteran Classes - A class for dogs and a class for bitches seven (7) years old and under ten (10) years of age.NR1.08100.37100. Veteran Classes - A class for dogs and a class for bitches ten (10) years old & over.*Chapter 11, Section 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that neutered males and spayed bitches may be entered in Veteran Classes at a Specialty that does not offer classes beyond Best of Breed.

00900. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION

Best of Breed: Open to all Rottweilers that are AKC Champions of Record or who, according to their owners’ records, have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed and who completed the championship requirements at a show within 90 days of the event. Rottweilers that complete a championship according to their owners’ records after the close of entries for this show, but whose championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed Competition, provided this transfer is made at least one half hour before the start of judging the day the show.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES(The Winners of these Classes will NOT be eligible to compete for Best of Breed)

NR2.09100. Stud Dog. For Stud Dogs with two and no more than four Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be the owner of the Get. While the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard of the breed, Get only will be judged based on their merits. Get must be entered in a Regular or Non-Regular Class. Use space for “Additional Entry”.NR2.09200. Brood Bitch. For Brood Bitches with two and no more than four Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. Owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be the owner of the Produce. While the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard of the breed, Produce only will be judged based on their merits. Produce must be entered in a Regular or Non-Regular Class. Use space for “Additional Entry”.

ALL TROPHIES MUST BE CLAIMED THE DAY OF THE SHOW. NONE WILL BE MAILED OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED.

Trophies, Ribbons, Certificates and other prizes will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog, who shall be considered the owner or agent. Please advise the Superintendent of any discrepancy at once. The Superintendent and show giving club disclaim any liability for cash or prizes after the judging of the class is over.

Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.

Acknowledgement of entries will be made as soon as practicable with tickets and/or identification cards. An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 will be required for each first entry and $3.00 for each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. All Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. (There is no Recording Fee or Event Service Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special Attractions.)

No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance.Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or

barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the event, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the event before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. Post Dated Checks, Returned Checks and Declined Credit Cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check or declined card. Subsequent returned checks or declined cards from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

No Refund for Duplicate Entries. Every effort to find all duplicate entries will be made; however, if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. An Administrative Fee of $2.00 will be charged or withheld from refunds for duplicate entries.

is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media.Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their

dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged.All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring.Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the

ring before the judging of that breed is over, and the Superintendent’s Office advised at once. The Superintendents and show-giving Club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.

No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted.

Hours that RV Overnight parking will be available: Thursday, July 12 – 4:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.; Friday, July 13 – 6:00 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. & 3:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.; Saturday, July 14 – 6:00 A.M. – 7:00 A.M. & after BIS – 10:00 P.M.; Sunday, July 15 – 6:00 A.M. – 7:00 A.M.; All vehicles must be off the grounds by 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Your parking space will be available in the afternoon of your arrival date, if you arrive earlier, say in the morning of, you will pay for an additional night.

The reserved overnight parking fee is $70.00 per space for 2 nights. Two (2) night minimum. Additional night is $35.00. ONE NIGHT IS NOT AVAILABLE. Tagalong vehicles: $15.00 flat fee, one, two or three nights & must fit in your space, if not, they will be accommodated where possible. There will be no other accommodations for tagalong/tow vehicles in the RV overnight area unless they fit into your space. No vehicle traffic in RV areas during show hours.

No visitors can drive down to the RV area to drop off dogs, people, load, unload and/or visit. You must park in the day of show lot and walk.

Vehicles over 40' total length and/or vehicles with slide outs that will not fit in a 22' x 40' space will need to buy 2 spaces. If your entire package will not fit in a 22' x 40' space, you will need to buy additional space. Trailers and tow units may be required to be unhitched. Vehicles over 40' in length will be accommodated where possible.

NO ELECTRIC HOOKUPS. NO POWER IS AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS, ANYWHERE! PLEASE BE PREPARED THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY.

All RVs using a generator must have a proper exhaust pipe venting away from the dogs and/or people - Quiet time: 11:00 P.M. - 6:00 A.M. - No generators PLEASE!

PEOPLE WISHING TO PARK TOGETHER MUST SEND THEIR RESERVATIONS TOGETHER, however there is no guarantee that we can accommodate all requests.

RV OVERNIGHT PARKING COULD BE ON ASPHALT, CRUSHED ROCK, DIRT, WEEDS AND/OR GRASS, BRING GROUND COVER.

Overnight parking may not be in the immediate vicinity of the rings.

OVERNIGHT & DAY OF SHOW PARKING ARE PRIVILEGES OF CARMEL MIDDLE SCHOOL & DEL MONTE KENNEL CLUB, INC. THESE PARTIES RESERVE THE RIGHT TO WITHDRAW PRIVILEGES, WITHOUT RETURN OF RV OVERNIGHT PARKING FEE OR ENTRY FEES, FROM ANY PERSON WHO CANNOT ABIDE BY, ABUSES THESE PRIVILEGES OR USES ABUSIVE LANGUAGE. LIMITED HANDICAPPED PARKING will be available; it may not necessarily be close to the rings. A suitable access will be provided. Please provide proof of your valid handicapped license with your RV Overnight reservation form. NO NON-RESERVED RV HANDICAPPED WILL BE AVAILABLE.

Unloading at Gates must be completed by 7:30 A.M. each morning. A deposit, which will be refunded upon leaving, may be requested.

The club takes NO responsibility for vehicles towed in violation of parking laws or regulations and subject to actions of regulatory officers or agents.

The fire department has forbidden any vehicles in fire lanes or any unauthorized areas. Vehicles illegally parked will be towed at the owner’s expense.

ALL RVs MUST HAVE WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHERS.

All vehicles must be completely self-contained. NO discharge of grey water or sanitary tanks allowed.

No more that 2 vehicles with a total length of 40’ per space.

RV OVERNIGHT PARKING COORDINATOR ASSIGNS ALL SPACES. DO NOT PROCEED TO ANY RV PARKING SPACE without an escort.
