Cleaning up after your dog is your responsibility!We must each accept our responsibility for cleaning up after our dogs and leading the way for others to follow. Be prepared to dispose of any trash and/or leavings from your dog(s). Control your dog(s) at all times. CLEANING UP IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY! Violators may be reported to the Event Committee for disciplinary action. Have someone in your set-up area at all times.

EXHIBITORS and HANDLERS will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates.

Please DO NOT LEAVE ANY DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES. Do not leave your dogs in unlocked cars. If any dog is seen to be suffering from extreme temperatures where it is confined without supervision a California Humane Officer or a Security Officer will be notified to handle the situation. Violators may be reported to the Event Committee for disciplinary action.

ALL DOGS PRESENT MUST BE HELD ON LEASH OR CONFINED TO THEIR CRATES EXCEPT WHEN BEING JUDGED. THERE ARE NO EXERCISE OR PRACTICE RINGS AT THE SHOW SITE. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS REGARDING CORRECTION OR CHANGES TO ENTRIES: The specific changes listed in Ch. 11, Sec 6 (i.e. sex of a dog, transfers between age specific regular classes and “move-up” to BOV or BOB) of the Dog Show Rules are the only changes to the entries superintendents or secretaries are authorized to make after closing of entries. GENERAL INFORMATION AND SHOW RULES

CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES is 6:00 pm (P.D.T.), Wednesday, June 30, 2010 after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled or changed, “except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Dog Show Rules”.MAIL ALL ENTRIES WITH ENTRY FEES TO: Roberta E. Martin, 780 Robinson Street, Oroville, CA 95965. Acknowledgment of entries will be made as soon as possible after entries have closed. Should such acknowledgment not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary at the above address or by telephone at (530) 532-1338 or Email [email protected]. POST DATED AND RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog(s) will be allowed in the ring. Any person that issues a check that is re-turned for non-payment will be required to pay a fine of $25 per check and all items for which check or checks were issued shall then be paid by cash, money order or cashier’s check. CONDITIONAL, UNSIGNED, INCOMPLETE, or entries received without fees will not be accepted. OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE for errors on entry blanks and for entering the same dog twice. No refunds for duplicate entries. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC FORMS or photocopies of entry forms without rules and agreement on reverse side of Official AKC entry form are NOT acceptable. CHANGES, ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS to entry forms must be received in writing prior to the close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. TO BE ACCEPTABLE an entry must be submitted with required entry fee on an Official American Kennel Club entry form. Entries submitted in the form of telegrams or by telephone, cannot be accepted. SPECIAL DELIVERY & OVERNIGHT DELIVERY MAIL ADDRESS: Must be sent no signature required to Roberta E. Martin, 780 Robinson Street, Oroville, CA 95965 ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Judge, or barred from competition by action of the show committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry or overpayment of entry fees. If because of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other acts beyond the control of the Club or Show Secretary it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. AN ADMISINSTRATIVE FEE will be charged for all cancellations or changes made prior to closing of entries. Because of the cost of processing, no refunds under $5.00 will be made.

ONLY DOGS THAT ARE ELIGIBLE to be shown under the American Kennel Club rules shall be allowed within the show precincts. ALL DOGS SHALL BE kept on leash except when in the exercising or obedience ring. THERE SHALL BE NO drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. DOGS MUST BE READY FOR JUDGING. The Club and its Show Secretary will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. DOGS NEED TO BE AT THE SHOW only at scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately thereafter, unless required for further judging. THE CLUB reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. ALL TROPHIES must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed or otherwise distributed. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over and the Show Secretary Office is advised at once. The Show Secretary and Show giving club disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the class is over. PRIZES: Trophies, Ribbons, Certificates and other prizes will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog, who shall be considered the owner or agent. Please advise the Show Secretary of any discrepancy at once. The club reserves the right to substitute unavailable prize with one of equal or greater value. Prizes will not be mailed.THE WELFARE OF AN EXHIBITOR’S CHILD is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is dis-tinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the days of the shows. ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THIS DOG SHOW hereby waive any claim for damages against the club, its members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffo-cation due to improper ventilations.

DEL MONTE KENNEL CLUB RESERVED OVERNIGHT PARKING - 2010 WEEKEND RV OVERNIGHT PARKING INFORMATION – RESERVE EARLY !!

Hours that RV Overnight parking will be available: Thursday, July 15 – 4:00PM – 11:00PM; Friday, July 16 – 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM and 3:00PM – 11:00PM; Saturday, July 17 – 6 00AM – 7:00AM and after BIS – 10:00PM; Sunday, July 18 – 6:00AM – 7:00AM; All vehicles must be off the grounds by 8:00PM Sunday, July 18, 2010. Your parking space will be available in the afternoon of your arrival date, if you arrive earlier, say in the morning of, you will pay for an additional night.

The reserved overnight night parking fee is $70 per space for 2 nights. Two (2) night minimum. Additional night is $35. ONE NIGHT IS NOT AVAILABLE. Tagalong vehicles are a $15.00 flat fee, one, two or three nights, & must fit in your space, if not, they will be accommodated where possible. There will be no other accommodations for tagalong/tow vehicles in the RV overnight area unless they fit into your space. No vehicle traffic in RV areas during show hours. No visitors can drive down to the RV area to drop off dogs, people, load, unload and/or visit. You must park in the day of show lot and walk.

All RV’s using a generator must have a proper exhaust pipe venting away from the dogs &/or people. Quiet time: 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM – No generators PLEASE!

PEOPLE WISHING TO PARK TOGETHER MUST SEND THEIR RESERVATIONS TOGETHER; however, there is no guarantee that we can accommodate all requests. No more that 2 vehicles with a total length of 40’ per space

Vehicles over 40’ total length &/or vehicles with slide outs that will not fit in a 22’ x 40’ space will need to buy 2 spaces. If your entire package will not fit in a 22’ x 40” space, you will need to buy additional space. Trailers & tow units may be required to be unhitched. Vehicles over 40’ in length will be accommodated where possible.

NO ELECTRIC HOOK-UPS. NO POWER IS AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS, ANYWHERE!PLEASE BE PREPARED THAT YOU WILL NOT HAVE ELECTRICITY.

RV OVERNIGHT PARKING COULD BE ON ASPHALT, CRUSHED ROCK, DIRT AND/OR GRASS, BRING GROUND COVER. Overnight parking may not be in the immediate vicinity of the rings.

ALL PARKING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. Carmel Middle School & Del Monte Kennel Club, Inc. assumes NO responsibility &/or liability for damage &/or loss to vehicles contents &/or dogs.LIMITED HANDICAPPED PARKING will be available; it may be not necessarily close to the rings. A suitable access will be provided. Please provide proof of your valid handicapped license with your RV Overnight reservation form. NO NON-RESERVED RV HANDICAPPED WILL BE AVAILABLE. Unloading at Gates must be completed by 7:30AM each morning. A deposit, which will be refunded upon leaving, may be requested. The club takes NO responsibility for vehicles towed in violation of parking laws or regulations and subject to actions of regulatory officers or agents.

The fire department has forbidden any vehicles in fire lanes or any unauthorized area. Vehicles illegally parked will be towed at the owner’s expense.

PARADE OF CHAMPIONS AND TITLE HOLDERS A NON-COMPETITIVE PARADE IN WHICH Rottweilers entered may or may not be entered in a regularclass at this show, however, all dogs must be holders of an American or foreign champion of record title, obedience title, tracking title, herding title, agility title, carting title, or foreign working or conformation title. This Class will not be judged. A Rosette embossed with the dog’s full name with titles earned will be im-printed and given to each entry. If the title is not easily recognized, please spell the title out for us so we can pronounce it correctly during the parade. Please send a brief printed or typewritten resume of the dog along with your entry fee. Best of Breed Competition Open to al Rottweilers that are AKC Champions of Record or who, according to their owner’s records, have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championship are unconfirmed and who completed the championship requirements at a show within 90 days of the event. Rottweilers that complete a championship according to their owner’s records after the close ofentries for this show, but whose championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Best of BreedCompetition, provided this transfer is made at least one half hour before the start of judging the day of the show.

Amateur-Owner-Handler Class Eligibility (effective as of 1/1/2009) The Amateur-Owner-Handler class shall be for dogs that are at least six months of age that are not champions. Dogs must be handled in the class by the registered owner of the dog. This class is restricted to exhibitors who have not, at any point in time, been a professional dog handler, AKC approved conformation judge, or employed as an assistant to a professional handler. Additionally,members of the immediate family or household of a current professional handler are ineligible for this class (as defined in Chapter 11, Section 13).

Grand Champion (effective as of 5/12/2010) Champions of Record and dogs which have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed that are entered in Best of Breed competition are eligible for Grand Championship competition. Grand Championship points may be recorded for: Best of Breed or Best of Variety of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed or Best of Variety of Breed, Select Dog, and Select Bitch. Grand Championship points will be recorded according to the number of eligible dogs competing in the regular classes of each breed or variety, as well as dogs competing in Best of Breed competition, according to the Schedule of Points established by the Board of Directors (as defined in Chapter 16, Section 6)..

NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES(The winners of these Classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed)

*Veteran Dogs, 7 years old and under 10 years of age * Veteran Dogs, 10 years old or older (SAME CLASSES FOR BITCHES)

* Stud Dog Class—For Stud with two Get and no more than four Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if ithas a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC Policy, or the standard for itsbreed. The Get only will be judged based on their merits. Get must be entered and shown in a Regular or Non-Regular Class. Use the space for “Additional Entry”.* Brood Bitch Class— Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. *Chapter 11, Section 8: of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud DogClass and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.
