Hotel Rules Regarding Dogs in Rooms:1. A maximum of 4 crated dogs per room.2. A non-refundable one-time pet charge of $25 per room will be incurred for the first two (2) dogs,

plus $25 for each dog over 2 – maximum of 4 dogs per room.3. Dogs must be crated at all times when they are left alone in room.4. Bedspreads will be removed.5. No animals are permitted in suites.6. Rooms must be inspected by hotel staff (if available) at check-out. Any additional damage or cleaning

fees are the responsibility of the registered guest.7. Hotel has arranged a designated pet area for dogs to relieve themselves. Each owner MUST clean up

after their animals.8. Dogs are not allowed on the golf course or in the outdoor pool courtyard.9. Dogs are not allowed in Main Lobby, restaurants or other common areas.

There will be a $15.00 charge per day for a roll-a-way bed. All rates are subject to a 6% PA State Tax, 3.9% County Tax and a 1.1% Excise Tax equaling a total of 11%.

Rottweiler Health Foundation is pleased to offer a FREE DNA blood draw. The blood draw is being done to support The Broad Institute’s DNA Collection, The Dog Genome Project. PARADE OF TITLEHOLDERS AND RESCUE – TUESDAY, MAY 10There will be a non-competitive Parade of Titleholders and Rescue. All titled Rottweilers will be

eligible to enter and all entrants will receive a Rosette with Dog’s name and title(s) imprinted on the streamers. Dogs may be entered for “Parade Only.” No rosettes will be mailed. Entry Fee: $20. Entry forms must be received by BaRay Events prior to closing of entries (April 6, 2016).

The following will be recognized: All AKC, Canadian, Mexican and International Titles; Titles recognized in Germany including BH; all ARC Carting titles and All AHBA titles of JHD and above. Titles issued by countries and /or organizations not specifically mentioned above, along with TT, TDI, RTD, HIC or HCT certificates, will not be accepted as titles, but may still participate in the Parade.

Best of Breed

BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR (BBE) CLASS ELIGIBILITY – 1) All dogs entered in the Bred-By Class must be individually registered with the AKC. 2) The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog. 3) To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record.

Non-Regular Classes (Involving Single Dog Entries) VETERAN DOGS VETERAN BITCHES

A class for Dogs and a class for Bitches seven years of age and older.Dogs/Bitches entered in Veterans Class need not be intact. Spayed and Neutered animals are eligible.

Winners of the above classes, if otherwise undefeated, are eligible to compete for Best of Breed

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner’s records.

Non-Regular Classes (Involving Multiple Dog Entries)STUD DOG. For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class.BROOD BITCH. For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for the breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class.

Note: As the judge’s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that “a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.”

AKC SANCTIONED 4-6 MONTH BEGINNER PUPPY COMPETITION JUDGE: NANCY GRIEGO

• One combined class will be offered for Rottweilers that are (4) four months & under (6) six months. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed, and Best Opposite Sex.

• An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entry. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.

• Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized.

• Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.

• AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise.

• Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show Competition.Entry Fee: $25.00 (including AKC recording fee of $2.00 for each dog. These fees are paid to the

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION

NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class.

MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC  Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed.

NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.

NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 233-9767. BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form.

This year’s offering is a fused glass piece by artist Madeleine Boucher, who has done awards for CRC in the past. It is 6½-inch round and is very pretty with light shining behind it. We ask that you send a photo (via e-mail ONLY) as we will have a special table set-up with display during the specialty. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS

Welcome to the 2016 ARC National Specialty. The show site will be available to Exhibitors at 7am, Wednesday May 11, 2016. Entrance to the Host Exhibition Hall will be open at 7:00 am daily. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best of Breed judging Saturday May 14, 2016. There will be plenty of space for spectators and holding area for dogs waiting to go into the ring. No grooming, NO CRATING and no un-entered dogs allowed in the Exhibitor Center.

Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their dogs under control at all times & MUST clean up after their dogs in any area of the Lancaster Host Resort. Remember that dogs need to be on leash at all times. There will be a designated area for bathing of dogs posted. Please remember that any complaints by Host officials may result in an Event Committee Hearing.

All trophies must be claimed at each event. None will be mailed. Cash Prizes will be paid in the Ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for such Prize Money MUST be made in the ring before judging of that class is over. The show-giving Club disclaims any liability for any Cash Prizes after judging of the class is over.

All first-place and major award winners are REQUIRED to have a photograph taken by the official show photographers. Any first place and major award winner who does not wish to receive a personal copy of his/her photo is required to tell the photographer at the time the photo is taken. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed, and Best Opposite Sex.• An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entry. A foreign born dog may

enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin.• Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian’s protocol

in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized.• Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must

be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers’ organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.

• AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise.

BEST PUPPY FROM THE REGULAR PUPPY CLASSES AND BEST FROM THE BRED BY EXHIBITOR CLASSES: Winners of Best Puppy or Best Bred by Exhibitor are not, by right of winning this award, eligible to compete for Best of Breed.

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION: The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs that according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owner’s records. AKC Select Dog and Bitch and ARC Selects will be awarded following Best of Breed.

ARC SELECT AWARDS: All dogs eligible for the Best of Breed Competition shall be considered for these awards. At the discretion of the intersex judge, the maximum number of Select Awards that may be given shall be 10% of the Best of Breed entry, including Veterans, Winners and Working Dog/Bitch. That 10%, with no consideration to sex, is in addition to the ones automatically given Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed winners and the AKC Grand Championship Select Dog and Bitch (if awarded). The Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed shall be known as ARC Select 1; the AKC Grand Championship Select Dog and Bitch shall be known as ARC Select 2; all others chosen shall be known simply as Select.

Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries Note: As the judge’s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows” provides that “a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class.”STUD DOG. For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class.BROOD BITCH. For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitches must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be owner of the Produce. While the merits of the Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard for the breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed competition or some other non-regular class.

JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Judge: Beverly Capstick • Location: Lancaster Host Resort

NOVICE CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who at the time entries close have not won three (3) first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show.

OPEN CLASS: For boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice Class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class. Juniors which according to their records have completed the requirements to compete in the Open class but whose status is unconfirmed by the American Kennel Club are limited to competing in the Open Class for a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the Junior completed the requirements according to their records.

MASTER CLASS: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC  Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.

NOVICE AND OPEN CLASS DIVIDED: Junior-9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show; Intermediate-12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show; Senior-15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show.

NOTICE: Junior Handlers must include their AKC JUNIOR HANDLER NUMBER on each entry. You may obtain your junior identification number by calling the AKC, Judges Education Department, (919) 233-9767. BE SURE ALL INFORMATION for Junior Showmanship Classes is entered on front and back of entry form.

The dates of the ARC National Specialty fluctuate from year to year. Puppies are eligible to compete in the first ARC Puppy Sweepstakes held on or after the date they reach six months of age, and only in this Sweepstakes. However, there will be times when puppies 18 months and older will be entered because they were NOT 6 months old when the prior year’s Puppy Sweepstakes was held. The 2015 Puppy Sweepstakes was held on April 22, 2015, therefore dogs born on or between October 23, 2014 and November 11, 2014 are eligible for the 18 months + class. All dogs MUST be entered in a Regular Class. Sweepstakes entry MUST BE INDICATED AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASS on the entry form (entry fee is $25.00). ARC TRIATHLON AWARD PROGRAM – EFFECTIVE 2/13/16The American Rottweiler Club understands that the events held in conjunction with our National Specialty are more than just conformation. In an effort to promote the entire Rottweiler and showcase the versatility of our breed, ARC is awarding Triathlon awards to the Rottweilers which distinguish themselves in Armetale performance and/or companion events at the National Specialty. Any Rottweiler qualifying in three or more different Armetale performance and/or companion event categories plus the Triathlon Conformation Evaluation will be recognized by the ARC with a Certificate of Achievement. The highest combined scoring dog will receive the title “ARC Triathlon Dog of the Year” and awarded the Jenifer Lind Kelly Trophy for this remarkable achievement!!

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS – ALL EVENTSThe American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List.

• The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event.

• No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, e-mail and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner’s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH ENTRANT.

• RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. BaRay Events will add a $30.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. We will not re-process checks. The exhibitor will be contacted & required to send a money order for the original amount PLUS the $30.00 NSF fee. Subsequent returned checks from same person may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS.

• REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed by the Club to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries.

• Females in season are not permitted to compete in Obedience or Rally Trials. If a female is withdrawn from competition because it came into season and the Superintendent is notified no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial, the club is required to refund the entry fee. The club may retain a processing fee and must publish this information in the premium. Clubs may determine the documentation, if any that is required to confirm the female is in season. This shall be stated in the premium. Note: No fee is paid to the AKC for females in season who are withdrawn.

• FAX ENTRIES – Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) 755-2248. This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). • Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify BaRay Events at (360) 755-7086 or email [email protected].

• Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. • Please note: Any hotel or motel listed in the premium list is subject to Event Committee Rules. We expect our exhibitors to be responsible guests. A report that an exhibitor at this show has abused hotel or motel property during this weekend may result in disciplinary action. Clubs reserve the right to decline future entries from the offending party in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11, Section 15 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.

• Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent/Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings.

• Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs.• LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors,

but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children.

• Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.

• ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent.
