Zhou Enlai was born in Huaian, Jiangsu in 1898. As a child, he used to study hard. In 1917, he finished his studies in Nankai Middle School. After that, he studied in Japan and France. In 1924, he came back to China. Between 1938 and 1945, the Anti- Japanese War broke out. Soon the Civil War took place between 1946 and 1949. During those periods, the Chinese had a hard time. Zhou Enlai worked hard for the freedom of all the people. Unfortunately, he developed cancer in 1972. In 1976, he passed away. The whole country was very sad at his death. He is considered to be one of the greatest leaders of China.
