Early Life

• He was born in a one room log cabin on the Sinking Spring Farm in Harden County, Kentucky

• Lincolns parental grandfather namesake had moved his family to Virginia, where he was ambushed and killed in Indian raid in 1786.

Lincoln became president

• Lincoln was the 16th president and he was republican

• The country split in two parts the union and the confederate

• The union didn’t want slaves and the confederate wanted slaves

Civil War

• The American civil war lasted 4 years 1861 – 1865

• The republican party led by Lincoln had campaigned against expanding slavery beyond the states in witch already existed

•Lincoln died on April 15th 1865•He was assassinated in a theatre•He was buried in Springfield lllions
