Built with market-leading capabilities

High performing composites

Our composite products provide a high quality lightweight solution -

offering strength and weight benefits over more traditional materials.

This also provides longevity as the material is anti-corrosive and

resilient to damage, and is why it is suited to a range of vehicle

uses, both internally and externally.

Integrated communications

We design and integrate compliant in-vehicle communications and

data systems for specialist vehicles. We work with our customers on

dash integration solutions to ensure ease of use and allow optimum

driver concentration.

Babcock is an approved installer of: Mobile Data Technology (MDT),

Airwave Service Radios (TEA2), Incident Data Recorders (IDRs) and

approved applicators by the major livery suppliers. We are also

supporting our customers with the introduction of the Emergency

Services Network (ESN) for vehicle based integration solutions.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Test facilities

We have a purpose-built EMC testing facility, simulating an

Open Area Test Site (OATS), to assess a range of vehicle equipment -

ensuring it does not produce anomalies elsewhere in the machine’s

performance. A broad spectrum of tests can be conducted including

antenna performance, RadHaz, mutual interference, radiated emission

& susceptibility and more.

Vehicle testing

We are a DVSA approved Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) test

facility and MOT test facility, and have the capability to IVA test

vehicle categories; M1, N1, N2 vehicles as well as O1 and O2

trailers. We also have an onsite ballistic firing range, rolling

road trials and a water deluge test facility.

Built with through-life support in mindIn a changing world, Babcock offers certainty to its customers - both

in terms of the quality of vehicle and through-life support.

We support our customers post-delivery with a dedicated

customer helpdesk, high demand onsite stock, and Mobile

Client Support Teams.

Our user and workshop training programmes have been developed

to ensure the end user, and those responsible for the upkeep of

the vehicle, are fully conversant with the asset. This is supported

by manuals and can be tailored to a specific team, or across a

large number of users.

We can deliver whole-life support on one-off specialist conversions or

across a fleet. This includes industry-standard service packs which can

be added to the CAPEX of the vehicle, through to a full availability

contract for a whole fleet.
